This is a great idea from Microsoft. Controllers usually last about a year with heavy use, the Xbox elite seem to last longer than that. If yours wears out you can simply buy this swap you thumb sticks and back paddles and save a ton of money doing so. These are great controllers and provide the best bang for your buck, aftermarket scuff parts are also very easy to find. I use this on PC and love it. The only negative is that they do have a bit of stick drift right out of the box, my dead zone had to be set at .08 vs .03 for a brand new scuff, i'm not good enough for that to outweigh $ the savings.

The swappable thumbsticks, D-pad, and paddles allow for a highly customizable experience, catering to different play styles which was the main reason I made this purchase. I truly enjoy using this controller and I can’t wait to see what Microsoft does to the next generation of it.

Must buy controller - Must buy protection plan

GET THE PROTECTION PLAN - DO NOT ARGUE This controller is awesome. Takes time getting used to the paddles, but once you do its a game changer. I just recently returned my old one, using the protection plan, and got a brand new one no questions asked. I have had the Elite and now Elite 2s and have used the protection plan for each. Idk how long people would expect these to last, but I can promise you they won't still work perfectly 2+ years and beyond. The ones I returned started having stick draft and the paddles were spotty after about 8-12 months. Not too severe but enough to make you think maybe it's why you died in warzone that one time. It's at That Exact Point, where you will be happy to have the protection plan / a new controller.

The elite series 2 is a great controller up until the moment it is not. I highly recommend the 2 year protection plan for this. I have gone through maybe 6-7 of this controllers since 2020, about 1 a year. Either the Y or B button stops to register or the bumpers no longer work.

I’ve had this controller for 13 months and it’s still going strong… no stick drift and the sticks still click down when pressed. I bought the 2 year replacement warranty and don’t see any need to replace it yet. The previous version of these controllers didn’t last this long, I would need to replace them within a year. I use it almost every day, for hours at a time.

A very good controller. I've gotten mine a couple years ago when it first came out. I love the paddles on the back. The only thing that sucks is the accessories don't come with the controller so you have to buy the paddles separately. Recently though the controller has started to crack and rip places. I don't abuse it when I get mad at my games. It just starts disintegrating. Other than that lasts a while and no stick drift at all. Would recommend. Just in case I'd buy the protection plan with it.

A solid controller for gaming, I like the interchangeable accessories and the charching station it comes with. It does lack some of the features from the new series x controllers but it is still a very good controller.

Love the weight, accessories, swappable thumbsticks. Long battery life. My only complaint or nitpick would be the non- removable battery for long term purposes. I recommend getting geeksquad protection for that reason.

I got this controller for my PC at the same time I got a Playstation Edge controller for my PS5. This controller is so much better. Everything feels so much more responsive, from the sticks to the triggers. It sits better in my hands and just feels better overall. Even if the Edge controller had four back triggers like this one instead of two, I’d still rate this one better. I’ve been a Playstation over Xbox fan my whole life, and it makes me sad to rate something Xbox better than PS. But truth is truth. I wish I could use one of these on my PS5.

I love this controller. It’s great if you already own the elite 2 and have all the extra pieces. It’s easy to map buttons (on PC, I don’t use this with the Xbox) and love all the customization options on it. I’ve had decently good luck with the build quality although I’ve heard the bumpers break often. I would suggest getting a protection plan if you’re using it often, it’s worth it.

The controller's ergonomics are exceptional, particularly the macro buttons, which facilitate complex command inputs in fighting games. Pairing with my computer was seamless, eliminating any configuration complexities. The weight and grip are ideally balanced and comfortable.

This controller is one of the best controllers for Xbox! I play a lot of COD and back paddles and ability to customize are very key for a better gaming experience! I do wish the price was a little lower.

Its an expensive controller... I get it.... but if you're reading this, buy it. Especially if its on sale. The grips feel amazing in your hands. Adjustable triggers are awesome. The battery last for hours. The construction is high quality. You can remove the paddles if you don't like them. It works on your PC and your Xbox. When you're done playing, put it back in the case (the charger is in the case).

It's a great controller, I had a used Series 1 originally that I bought from a friend. It had been used to the point the plastic grips were tearing off so I decided to upgrade. It's been a great controller and the case/charger is awesome for taking it to a friends place. I'm not entirely sure if it's the controller or my Pc, but I can't connect it wirelessly. However, I can play while it's plugged in. A little expensive for a controller, but I guess it beats buying a bunch of cheap ones.
