Great when it works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Controller feels great when it works but the elite controller is poor quality for the price stick drift is ridiculous. I would definitely recommend geek squad protection don’t waste your time with sending it back to Microsoft to get fixed. I’ve had gone through 4 elite controllers all stick drift issues. Buy open box it’s cheaper & better deal

Get the protection
|Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] Elite controllers are amazing you just need to get the protection plan for any problem that can occur from use of a controller like stick drift

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price is more than i’d like but to not have to replace one every year plus the charging dock i’m happy

Very nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the previous Xbox Elite controller and really liked it. It’s rubber would wear off which I’m guessing may happen to this one as well. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because you can not change out the batteries on the new model. The whole controller has to be charged. I’d prefer to have a rechargeable battery pack and still be able to use normal batteries.

Excellent but Expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Functionality and customization, though it is very expensive, the price jump over the original was a bit unnecessary. the rubber grips are a big help for sweaty gaming sessions, and the rechargable battery is a nice touch, although it is a shame that it is built-in and non removable.

Just What I Wanted
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing more need be said than I love this controller! I use the paddles underneath to make actions like sprinting and melees easier to perform. I have 4 separate setups -- 2 PCs and an XBOX X and an XBOX S. This controller completes the set (4th one). I use it and another one wired for my PCs and wireless for my XBOXs.

Average
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of a customizable controller, but this feels out of my league honestly. A+ idea with C execution unfortunately. A controller with this price has to be perfect. It really wanted to like this.

Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller however I have had to repair it myself a couple of times due to dust build up on certain buttons but very straight forward the customization of it is unbeatable.

Finally cheaper option without the case and extras
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Elite series of controllers since gen 1, it is nice to finally have a cheaper purchasing option than the $180 original gen 2 with the case and charging base.

Best version yet
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best controller I have owned so far. Stick drift did occur, but I am tough on the left joystick. It’s currently being replaced via warranty and lasted longer than most others have. I also like the removable paddles on the back as opposed to ones that are built in. Some games not all 4 are needed and the others tend to get in the way.

Excellent controller, just take good care of it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you game a lot, this is worth the price. Very high quality. Although like all Microsoft controllers, don't drop it, the bumpers aren't particularly durable. I don't think I'd recommend it for kids who might not be careful with it.

Option for multiple presets plus stick drift
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the controller isn’t bad and I enjoy the ability to create multiple controller presets for different games but after a few months of use it acquired stick drift in both joysticks.

Great upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft has done a great job on the 2nd gen elite controller. My only problem with the 1st gen were the grips and they've completely rehauled them here. They don't feel as tacky at first touch but once I start to play I actually much prefer the grip on the 2nd gen controller. Overall the controller feels much more solid. A little more compact grip which has proven much more comfortable over the last month.
