After the extra out of pocket cost plus another 2 year replacement, this ended out being a great birthday present for him. I think it has a few more attachments in comparison to the previous series and some more software programming functionality. The 2 year replacement is definitely worth it with the cost of the controller.

Huge upgrade from the standard models. I love the adjustable trigger controls and the feel from the joy sticks. I have not gotten a chance to use the app and remap button configurations yet but, I'm sure it will work well with any FPS game.

This option is great in my opinion. Lower cost, same high quality and if you already have the paddles, case, sticks and charger or if you don’t care about those, this fits the bill.

Drifting is still an issue...

This replaced an elite series 1 controller that had the drift issue with the right stick. This has held up longer, but I now have some drift in the left stick. I don't play rough with the thing so I'm a bit disappointed I'm running into issues already. 90 day warranty is BS... might need to stick with the cheap controllers moving forward...
