I bought the gen 1 controller when it came out and then upgraded to gen 2. The latter was the worst controller in terms of durability. I upgraded to this one because I didn't need the accessories. So far so good. Just to be safe I bought the warranty. No regrets.

The only reason this controller is not getting the 5th star, because the extra back buttons are much smaller than the original. Making it sort of awkward to use all 4, but this could change after a while of usage.
