Im not sure why. If it did not do that, i probably would have happily kept using this controller. Heres hoping microsoft uses a different, non itchy material for their future elite series 3 controller, if and when they release it.

This is my 3rd Elite Controller. 1 first gen and 2 second gen. My daughters completely broke the first 2. This one goes under lock and key. I love the USB TYPE C for data and charging it cuts down on the amount of stuff I have on my desk. Virtually no input lag wireless. Works better in COD wired in my opinion. Great weight to it. It feels solid and premium. Just enough weight to make you feel engaged in the action but not too much to fatigue the forearms.
