Expensive but better than stock
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had the original Elite v1 since it came out. Ive owned multiple XBox's of every generation and have a dozen controllers in my house. I much prefer the Elite controller over all other standard controllers. It just feels better. Ive not owned other brands except a Razer from back in the day but I also prefer the standard Xbox layout/size. Several years and several thousands of hours later, the rubber grip panels on my original elite popped off. The glue failed. I found replacements for cheap and I continue to use it. Its not 100% the same but its close enough. I game on Xbox and PC and got tired of using a non-elite controller on one or the other depending on the game I was playing (I re-pair often). Enter the Elite 2. So, the 2 has bluetooth whereas the original 1 did not. I have the wireless dongle so thats not a feature for me but, it would allow you to use 1 controller for both PC and XBox. Ive owned several BT Xbox controllers and prefer to use the wireless dongle on PC. An improvement over the 1 is there is no longer a groove in the plastic under the middle fingers. Seems odd to mention but hours of playing, the 1 would give me irritation on top of both middle fingers where the plastic joins. This is gone on the 2. Plus. Adjustability on the 2 is also improved. You can adjust the tension of the sticks. I have no desire to do so as it feels like the typical XBox controller Ive been using for like 20 years or whatever. There are now 3 levels of adjustment for trigger travel as well. I mentioned earlier about the 1 causing irritation on top of the middle fingers. The new trigger travel adjusters have moved ever so slightly so now, I feel them on the top of my middle finger tips all the time. The adjusters feel a bit larger as well. They are rounded and not painful. No irritation. I just notice them. On the 1, they were smaller, and barely there on the pads of my middle finger tips depending on the game I played. I dont use the back triggers and removed them from both the 1 and the 2 day 1. I cant comment on the difference if any. I dont use them. The 1 had a replaceable battery like a standard controller but required a micro USB cable just like every other Xbox controller since inception. The 2 is not easily replaceable and requires cracking it open. It does come with a dock. I wont use it personally as it has USB C and thats my preference when it needs charged. I dont doubt the battery will last for years but, Id prefer a user replaceable battery over an included dock. My preference. Lastly, the 1 had a more rubberized grippy feel. After a few years, they did fail. The 2 is more plastic feeling. Its hard to describe but the 1 didnt have a texture on the top of the controller whereas the 2 does which is the part that kind of makes it feel less grippy. Both are plasticy and rubbery / grippy but the 2 is just, well, feels less grippy to me. I dont feel like its going to fall out of my hands but its a different feel than the 1. Its like a new gen Series X/S controller kind of in the texture department but with some (10%?) rubberized feel. Its difficult to explain. I dont consider it a Pro or a Con its just, different. All in all, I much prefer the Elite controllers over the standard Xbox controllers. They just feel better in hand to me. I have no experience with Scuf. I dont use the back / underside triggers. Id prefer a replaceable battery over a dock. All that said, the 1 last me a very long time and thats why I bought the 2. No regrets.

Great controller at a reasonable price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I almost forgot how great it was playing with a paddle controller! No need to take your thumbs off of the joysticks anymore! This controller is amazing! It is a bit heavy, but you get used to the weight very quickly. I love that it does not have to have the batteries replaced and you can just set it on the charger in the case to charge it up. The customization options are great as well. It comes with different height and style joysticks, and the standard D-pad if you prefer that. You can also adjust the tensions for both joysticks which is awesome. I love everything about this controller! I only wish it came in more colors! If you've never played with a paddle controller, you are missing out! This is probably better than a Scuff controller and a bit cheaper too!

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Controller feels great! Ive had 2 scuf controls and this one feel a bit more durable than the scufs. It has a decent amount of weight to it and feels very good in the hands! For the prices its a bit intimidating to buy but it worth it to me.

Love the weight behind it and the way the joy sticks and paddles feel. I also like being able to adjust the trigger distance when playing first person shooters.

Even more Elite than before
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having complete control is gaming makes everything much more enjoyable and that is what the Xbox Elite 2 controller provides. The most important feature for me was the thumbstick tensioning. I increased it fully and it had an immediate effect in playing First Person Shooters. The control is much more precise and the stick drifting is gone. Add in the full wrap around grips and a more solid and compact feel, this controller fits perfectly in my hands. All the customizable features can help make your favorite games play even more fun! I got my money out of the XE1 controller, I know I'll get it out of this one as well!

Best Pro Controller, Period.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whoa, now this is premium. I can't get over it. The weight, the response on all the buttons, the sheer feel of metal, and it feels so good. Battery life is great, Type C charging is always a plus, Astro can learn so much. Their C40 was absolute dog barf.

Son is Happy.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift purchase for my son, he is pretty anti-xbox controller but I convinced him it is more comfortable than being tethered to the PC with his PS5 controller. He enjoys it and no stick drift as of yet.

Microsoft Elite series 2 one of the best!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a serious gamer than this is the Xbox controller for you! It is made with excellent quality! You can create game profiles that will allow you to move the buttons and actions when the game itself won't let you set your controls as you want them! And best of all it holds a charge for a very long time! I play for 4-6 hours and not a problem. Might use half of the battery!

Xbox Elite
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox controller is comfortable to hold, with responsive buttons and triggers that enhance gameplay. Its ergonomic design fits nicely in the hands, and the wireless connectivity provides flexibility during gaming sessions. The only issues ive found with the controller is that it gets stick dift within months of use.Overall, it's a solid choice for gamers and it fits the hands comfortably.

Great controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery life is incredible. Improvement over the original in almost every way. Held out as long as I could for a Series 3 because I wanted hall effect thumb sticks. Hopefully stick drift won't be an issue like it was for the first gen.
