Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with the product's great overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options, along with its comfortable feel and good weight. However, a significant concern among users is the prevalence of stick drift and issues with button quality, particularly with the bumpers and A button. The price is also a point of hesitation for some.

Good Feeling
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After not having used an Xbox controller since the first one, which was gigantic, this is a great feeling controller. A little small for my hands but it does bother me and still feels great. The buttons are responsive, and the build quality is great. Sometimes it has had a hard time connecting to my pc but that could just be a me thing.

Great controller for Hardcore Gamer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great controller! Obviously, the high price makes it worthwhile only if you are a lifelong gamer but, “ You get what you pay for” This controller has a heavier feel, there are apps to control fine adjustments and everything works that much better. Make sure to purchase the protection plan because even though this is a high quality controller, things break and this will also. One difference between this and the series 1 controller is that this one has a rechargeable battery built in, I don’t know about the battery life so far but this could be a good or bad thing. We shall see. This is a great controller nonetheless

Rip-off at MSRP, acceptable at a discount
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really just a standard controller with glorified paddles. In fact, there's even a reduction of some features on this version on the controller. No share button and cheap shallow plastic clicky buttons for example. I've even had to send my Black Elite Series 2 in for repairs twice. Faulty bumper, faulty paddle. For the money, you could get an infinitely nicer controller from another brand. I'd feel comfortable paying about $80 for one of these, considering the warranty and features. Anything more and you're better off buying something else.

An engineering masterpiece for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've wanted an Elite controller for quite some time and when Microsoft announced this one, I was even further tempted. I decided to wait for a bit to see how well it reviewed before I decided to buy it if I was going to at all. I could write a very long and in depth review of this controller but I'll try to keep it brief. The very first time you grab this controller you know without a doubt that it's an extremely well-built device. Some players might not prefer this controller due to its weight because it's pretty heavy compared to most. I don't mind this personally, I prefer the weight. The variety of options on offer are great. There are several bits and pieces included allowing a player to situated the controller as desired and quickly make the swaps when changing games. The triggers have three positions and have haptic feedback. This is great when playing something like Forza because you can feel the resistance from the car when accelerating or braking. The back paddles can be remapped to any of the buttons on the controller and quickly swapped out or removed entirely. At any rate, most of these features are in the description but are some of my favorite aspects. I love the included case and charging dock, even more so since you can charge it while it's in the case. USB-C is greatly appreciated and should be the gold standard to which all devices are engineered now. The charging cable is long and very well made. The entire package is simply amazing. I purchased this to use with my gaming PC (do not currently own XBox One) and it's been a greatly welcomed addition. This leads me to the only potential sticking point for some. In order to remap the buttons, you need the XBox Accessories app for Windows 10. The app nice because it allows you to program up to three profiles for different button mappings that can be switched on the fly via the button in the center of the controller. However, as of the time I'm writing this, it doesn't allow for programming button combinations or macros. I've read that this will be later added to the app via a software update. Additionally, you can connect the controller via Bluetooth but unless you use the cable or the Xbox Wireless adapter, the app cannot detect the controller and you can't use the built-in headphone jack. This is pretty minor point since many will use the cable, may not use the headphone jack, or (like me) will purchase the wireless adapter. Buying the wireless adapter was an easy decision for me since it also allows for multiple controllers to be connected to the same PC, in addition to detecting the controller in the app and use of the headphone jack. So, yea, it's expensive, but uncompromisingly so. If the price point works for your budget and you're on the fence, rest assured you're going to get your money's worth should you decide to buy it.

THE BEST!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No controller has ever felt better in my hands. A little heavier than the standard xbox controllers. Paddles and trigger locks are legitimate ways to get an edge in online/competitive gaming. Personally, I only use 2 paddles as all 4 feels a bit strange with my hands size. There's also many ways to adjust the response curves of the joysticks offering advanced ways to tailor control. I recommend the warrany for peace of mind knowing that this product has some history of defects, not to mention controllers themselves get beat up over time, thats the way it is!

Feels Great, Poor build quality.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game, a lot (Mainly FPS). I use this controller sometimes as much as 30 hours a week, and while that is a lot of wear and tear on a controller, I assumed that the high price tag as well as the name "Elite" meant that this controller would be up to the task. I was unfortunately wrong. While the controller feels great in the hands and the added control with the trigger stops, the software stick programming, and the paddles is an awesome addition Microsoft dropped the ball with this product. My number one gripe is that the controller is already experiencing the dreaded stick drift (it actually started about 4 months ago but i put up with it until now) also the RB and LB buttons refuse to work when pushed about 70% of the time which has lost me quite a few gun fights. Luckily for me i bought the replacement plan through best buy and I'm hoping that I just got a bad controller. I guess only time will tell -- I'll make sure to make an update if that controller is better/worse.
