I quickly noticed that the internal battery no longer held a charge since the controller would immediately lose power once disconnected from a charger.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This series 2 elite controller does not have a removable battery like the first one did, you get a charger to plug it in via usb or you can just lay it in the case and it charges just by having the controller laying in it's own case. It's case it hardwired when charging. Also, it weighs more than the first one, so keep that in mind if your wrists start to hurt. Overall it's a nice controller, let's see if this one can hold up to play time unlike it's predecessor! It's compatible with the "new" xbox that is supposedly coming out soon.

Hands down best controller on the market

I’ve had this controller for a few months now and is hands down the best of all in my opinion extremely pleased with this purchase.

Worked perfectly out of the box, despite what some have said. I thought the original Elite controller was the best I had ever used until I got this one. The Series 2 is superior in every way.

Definitely don’t think it was tested cuz it was good at best.. some of the buttons didn’t work, but was able to get replacements at a low enough additional cost so I swapped them out and now works okay. Rubber grip is misaligned so kinda bubbles out
