I've had both the older version and the newer version, with same result, the build quality of the internals seems to be lacking, issues with the triggers sticking, joy sticks drifting, and I'm not talking a little. joysticks start to feel like a grain of sand is between the joints.. this item has been identified as one of the remotes / devices now included in the broader reaching class action suit. search for the "Microsoft xbox elite wireless controller class action" for details. you want more than anything for this purchase to not be one of the ones affected by the issues, and you use it thinking yay I got one of the good ones, then few days/weeks go by, and then your stuck w/ a device unless you purchased the replacement plan... do yourself a favor. get the replacement plan and just get used to replace it and be happy, or get a different device.

Exchanged for a blue series and got stick drift inside first 2 days. Utter waste of money. Don’t splurge on this controller, just buy a PlayStation and put Xbox out of business like they should be.

I purchased 2 of these controllers at the same time and the other one does not have the clicking. I will be swapping out the faulty one.
