Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the product's great overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. They also frequently praise its comfortable grip, good weight, and responsive feel. However, a significant number of customers have reported issues with stick drift developing quickly and concerns regarding the durability of the buttons, including the bumpers. Despite some initial hesitation about the price, the positive attributes like its overall comfort and useful paddles generally contribute to a positive user experience.

Great controller for Xbox gamers.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the controller. The grips do not come off like the series 1 controller. Live the charging dock for the controller. Do not need to worry about changing batteries. If you are a Cbox gamer, this is a must have.

Junk! Failing buttons, won't charge, stick drift
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money on this. Microsoft hasn't learned their lesson from the first gen Elite. Plenty of people have issues with stick drift, buttons no longer registering clicks, etc. My controller is about useless right now. First off, I hardly ever use this controller. I bought it for PC gaming, and probably use it once every few months. That said, it's already worthless. - The bumper buttons fail to register unless I slam them - A button often does not register clicks - No longer charges when in the case/dock, have to use USB cable Either I'm lucky for not having stick drift, or it's just because I don't use it often enough. Either way, this controller is not worth the premium. Unfortunately I am past the warranty by one month so I can't send it to Microsoft for repair/replacement. How do ELITE controllers have a shorter lifespan than the vanilla controllers? Having owned an Elite 1 (broken) and Elite 2 (broken), I will never buy another Elite controller even if it has a 5 year warranty, because it's not worth the hassle. I'll be using 8bitdo from now on.

Meh. 50/50 on this. Great when it works.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned 2. Both have stopped working. Updated controllers and been on Microsoft support multiple times to trouble shoot. USB stopped recognizing the second controller. Bluetooth kept disconnecting. The recommendation was to downgrade the controller software via the Xbox console due to the windows upgrade not being compatible with their own freaking ELITE controller. So basically Microsoft makes

Still Quality Control Issues in 2022
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about this controller when it works but my goodness its 2022 with Microsoft about to launch I white version of this same controller and I am about to exchange this one out for another controller due to problems. In 2020 I bought this controller and out the box it would not register when I pressed the "A" button. I remember thinking well when I can get my hands on the Series X I will try to buy this Elite Series 2 Controller again. Fast forward to Sept 2022 and I have had my Series X for a month now and the controller that came with my Series X does not register the Y button anymore. So I decided to try the Series 2 controller, verified using the Lot number that it was a 2022 manufactured model and came home to test it out. Out the box the "A" would not always be recognized, I noticed in game so I used Xbox Accessories to test out the buttons and sure enough all the buttons work fine and register in the test but the "A" button does not. Back to Best Buy to exchange. Came home with exchanged Elite 2 that had a 2021 lot number and sure enough the "A' and "B" buttons do not register with every press so I am on my way back to the store to exchange again. Stay Tuned...

Xbox Elite Controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is awesome! feels professional and strong build! my only complain would be that the paddles at the bottom are place in a why that may make you pouch them in, even when you don't want too.

STICK DRIFT AFTER 1 MONTH
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stick drift after 1 month with light play. Save your money or buy a scuff controller because I am dissatisfied to a max spending this much money on a terrible product. All I can do is warn others.

DON'T PURCHASE IF YOU'RE AVOIDING STICK DRIFT!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware. If you're like me, than you bought this "high quality" controller because you were sick of getting analog drift every year or two after buying a new controller. Do yourself a favor and don't gamble on these elite controllers thinking it will fix your issue. I purchased this 6 months ago and already have severe stick drift. I even bought what I thought was a 2-year extended warranty because I was expecting this to happen, only to find out it's just some worthless $40 Geek Squad service. Best Buy will not refund this defective product. I take care of my controllers. This controller has seen minimal use and goes right back in the case after using. I don't even play shooters or racing games or anything. I play casual, easy going RPGs that don't require you slam on the sticks and still this "Elite" controller couldn't handle it. It is pretty though. If you're looking for a $250 elite paperweight this is definitely the product for you.
