Build quality is no better than a regular controller, it's just heavier. Overall maybe worth like 20-30$ more than a regular controller but not 100$ more.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller, however, I think even when purchase new these are actually refurbished, because my first controller after few weeks right shoulder button doesn’t work consistently and after a year later I exchange it for new one and this time the left shoulder button doesn’t work consistently… Bad on on Microsoft side.

It doesn’t allow for my own batteries, requires charging of the built in (not replaceable) battery. A money grab by Microsoft. Have had this controller 2 months and my A button is already not functioning 100%, the Y button sticks, the joysticks are walking and the battery is requiring charging each day. First generation controller lasted nearly 3 years before it started walking. Do not waste money on this controller for the paddles alone, look for another option that will warranty longer than 6 months.

It is packed with lots of nice features, like the stick tension, paddles, adjustable trigger actuation, swappable sticks and pad. however none of this counts for much when fundamental aspects such as pressing a button either doesn't register or registers multiple inputs. I expect much more from such an expensive product.
