I’m not a pro-gamer, and I know my PC gaming wasd breathen might look down their collective noses at an “elite controller,” but this has been a super worthwhile purchase for a few reasons (coming from an Xbox/pc controller that had the gold texture grips and AA batteries): 1) rechargeable battery is so much better than the removable AA. Charge lasts WAY longer. 2) USB-C, because in 2021 ain’t no got time for usb-a (a long and successful life). 3) I find the wireless response time to be much better than previous controller. Quick note: I have an usb Xbox wireless adapter, never in my life have I been able to get any controller working over just Bluetooth. Save yourself a headache and get the wireless adapter if you’re using this with Windows. 4) The weight is perfect, you could use it to club someone with if you have to but that’s because of the density, not because it’s a massive lead weight. Hands feel great wielding this bad boy. Yeah it’s not cheap, but you know where the money went when you hold it in your hand.

One of the best controllers out there. Heavier and sturdier than the SCUFs, comfortable paddles and good customization options

A great upgrade to the original elite controller

I've had the original elite controller for 5 years. Love it. Got used to the paddles makes playing the game so much easier, since you can map buttons to the back paddles. Main differences Paddles on the series 2 are SMALLER. Its not a bad thing. Paddles are more like buttons (more clicky than the Original). Which I love. It has bluetooth which is great since you can now connect to phones or tablets to you Xboxs knew streaming service XCloud. The original had just grips on the back of the handles now know grips cover the whole handle (front and back) the series 2 also has little grips on the bumpers and triggers. Is now rechargable, rather than AA batteries. You can know have 3 preset custom control options rather than 2. I don't miss anything on the original and the elite series 2 is my new favorite. I can't go back to the old paddles. It's well worth the purchase and I recommend getting the device protection on it so if something DID go bad u can easily replace. Even if you don't use the paddles the controller is overall substantially better quality than that of a standard $60 controller. As long as you don't throw it and you treat it nicely.

It is great however the bumpers eventually give out and stop working. I am not a rager and I never throw or bang my controllers. However, my bumpers still have given out where it doesn’t function properly to where I had to use the paddles instead for it. The paddles do not come with the controller so I ordered an extra set from Amazon.

Great controller had one before but used it till it was on its last leg, was originally recommended by a friend, makes gameplay 10x more elite (ahhh see what I did there). Still bad at the game and miss 80% of my shots but it’ll take a different players gameplay to the next level

It's super comfortable to hold, with a great ergonomic design that allows for extended gaming sessions without any discomfort. The buttons are responsive and perfectly placed, providing precise control over your games. The thumbsticks give just the right amount of resistance, offering smooth and accurate movement. And let's not forget about the rumble feature that adds an extra layer of immersion to your gaming experience. Whether you're playing action-packed shooters or engaging in fast-paced sports games, the Xbox controller delivers unmatched performance. It's a must-have accessory for any serious gamer!

"Professional" reviews are normally hit or miss and here lately complete garbage. Wanted one of these for a while, so I got one. I was one that could only play 1st person shooters with keyboard and mouse. Tried many times with the Xbox wireless controller, but no way. After setting up the Elite with the windows app and a little practice, I am now playing 1st person shooters almost as good as a keyboard and mouse with the convenience of a controller. Its just more fun. The customization in the app is very nice. Stick curve and sensitivity along with full button customization. There is also recalibration. The controller feels premium and comfortable, I use all four paddles and dont need to touch the keyboard for normal play controls. After just a few days I tried the older wireless controller again and couldnt put it away fast enough. If you are on the fence about it, dont be! The additional sticks are a must. Magnetic charger is awesome.

This is easily the best controller for XBOX or PC gaming as far as customization and control of button mapping down to how the stick respond. I have been using these over the after market ones since the first generation. There is a little "adjustment" period coming from the first generation but once you feel out what you want it makes it super easy to fine tune your settings. Want to try a new confing make a new one from your roiginal have have the security to switch back if you don't like it with the multiple configs. Map a few games and load them in and out with the tools. The newer shift feature is awesome to map multiple buttons to the same set. There is the issue with stick drift after the manufacturer's warranty but the tech support or best buy protection makes it well worth the cost. Buying this full price with the protection plan is still cheaper than an after market that only has a 30 day warranty.

Ive been using this controller now for about a month. I love it and i also loved the first one. I got the Geek Squad Warranty on the first so i returned it for store credit and picked up this bad boy. First let me start off by saying that THANK GOD it has a internal battery build it. The first one didnt and they annoyed me, how are you gonna charge me over $100 for a controller and not have a battery pack. ANYWAYS, i like that the Ver 2 you can adjust the Tension on the sticks. I also like that the hair triggers, this is a game changer for FPS. The back panels on this ver are smaller than Ver1 (not much) and a different color. I enjoy mapping these to different buttons and i feel it gives me an edge when using them. That being said ...i got used to it and tried to use a regular controller it throws me off. Over all id say this is a buy if you have the extra money, you can probably get the same customizations with Scuff but i just prefer to get Xbox stuff. Also PLEASE get the geek squad Protection plan. The sticks started to go on my Ver1 and they gave me a brand new one no questions. I just had to purchase another geek squad plan for that one as well! Good Luck

This controller has been working so much better than the $60 controllers that i kept buying. Paying more for the elite series not only lasts longer but it provides a much smoother experience and quick reaction time. Also, thumbstick is metal so it doesnt scrape plastic off like the other ones.

High price while not including the rear buttons. The grip is nice and the battery life is excellent. The ABXY buttons are loud and feel cheaper than even my cheap back up controller. The D-pad also feels cheap and you can hear the low quality spring inside it. The vibration works well. Hopefully lasts longer than the controller included with the console, which started drifting after about 100 hours of use. In conclusion, way overpriced for this level of quality.

The hair triggers are what I like the most about the changes that they made compared to the 1st series. The paddles are different but in a good way the feel better but a bit smaller. The grip and weight are great. Recharged battery built in, idk if it’ll be a good thing or bad but the charging options are pretty cool.

    ALMOST perfect

Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is frustrating because it’s so close to being the perfect controller. The build quality feels premium, the customization options are excellent, and the adjustable sticks and triggers make it one of the best-feeling controllers Microsoft has ever made. When it works, it’s genuinely fantastic. The problem is durability. The rear paddles/buttons never felt quite as solid or responsive as they should at this price point, and eventually stick drift became impossible to ignore. That completely killed the long-term value for me. I ultimately switched to a Razer controller instead because it feels beefier, sturdier, and more dependable during long gaming sessions. That said, I still think Microsoft is very close. If an eventual Series 3 improves the rear button design and finally solves the drift issues, it could easily become the best premium controller on the market. As it stands now, it’s a strong controller held back by reliability concerns, which is why I can only give it 3 stars.

At first the controller felt amazing to use, quick and responsive but as a couple months went by stick drift and sticky buttons began to occur as well as bumpers not registering consistently. Made for a short time not a long one, would not recommend if not ready to buy another one.
