Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Additionally, some customers have experienced problems with button quality and found the price to be a point of hesitation.

Loved it, then hated it
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easily my favorite xbox controller. I haven't reached my 1 year mark quite yet and my left stick is drifting and my right bumper no longer works. Given that this was an almost $200 controller, I didn't think I'd need a warranty and it would last longer than a year. The standard warranty was 90 days from Microsoft and their only recourse is to try for a "standard exchange" for $100 and apparently those are getting denied as well. It's super disappointing because I baby my electronics but this controller did not even hold up to regular use.

Not as good as i thought. I returned it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think MS does a great job with hardware and was very excited to get the new controller. But for me the size and location for triggers and also the seams of the plastic left my hand with blisters. I have not had blisters from a game control before. Bummer, I wanted to like this. For the cost I can not recommend it.

Breaks easily
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a casual gamer this is a great controller. If you game competetively or game on a frequent basis this controller will not last a year. I have had two of them. They get stick drag, bumpers fall off or stop working.

The exact same as the Elite Series 2 EXCEPT
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing that separates the Elite Series 2 and this one is this model doesn’t come with the charging case. So if you’re looking for the charging case either buy the original Elite Series 2 or you can buy the compatability pack for an extra $50

The price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldnt belive the price on the controller but my buddy swears by how good it is. I should of took pictures, One night of fc24 and the metal was from the thimbsticks was grinding and had an awful feel to it. You coukd see the scratch marks. It’s jsut like the plastic controller that grind and the plastic becomes powdery. Anyhow i thouht steel sticks would fix it and it did not. Not only that but theres no quick capture button which should be standard now.

Broke right out of box
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this just before Christmas, but only got around to opening it today. Right out of the box, the right trigger was stuck in a position that continuously activates the key press. Disappointing to have this issue straight away.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bumpers break - not worth it this model - its defective. Maybe it lasted 4 months. Then the kid looked on line on how to take it apart and fix it and really messed it up. Avoid.

Great when it worked well...
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the controller for 6 months and I’m already running into issues. The right thumb stick already has bad drift. The bottom left paddle also doesn’t register unless I press it multiple times. Microsoft’s warranty is a terrible 90 days, so make sure you buy the protection plan. Lesson learned...

Used product
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually get this controller "New" , but this time i really feel they sold me a refurbished product, there were scratches and it didn't feel new. 4 months later I have issues with the controller when I barely play.

Complete garbage
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These controllers are all trash. I bought this and the core version and both of them the the same issue the regular controllers have. Bumper button fail. You think if you spend 100s of yout hard earned cash for a good product tye outcome would be better than paying for that regular 50 dollas controller. Might aswell buy the power A controller simve that has lasted longer than the elite controllers

Rubbish
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 5th Elite controller and 1st 2nd generation. All 5 have suffered from broken bumpers, tonight, the left trigger failed and is non responsive. I'm done with them. This particular unit isn't even a year old yet.

Not very “elite”.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our third/fourth controller. We keep having to repurchase geek squad warranty to turn it in for a new one because after a couple months, it disconnects continuously/stops charging. For the amount of money you’re paying, this is ridiculous. Disappointed in Microsoft!

Stay away from this controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst $250 ever spent (with protection plan) Ive had the controller for one week and already having issues. Thumbsticks Love to twist and back off while in the middle of matches, A and RB have very bad input and sometimes you’ll have to push two, three times before it registers, I’ve lost connection in the middle of matches several times now to the point I have to reset my console for the controller to be recognized. The best thing about the controller are the trigger customization options. What a shame that the updated version of the Elite 2 is not being sold by Best Buy and that Microsoft is still selling this first wave of Elite 2
