I have had the elite 1 one for years and still works. I saw this one on sale and bought it. It is a night and day difference between the this one and the original elite controller.

Remarkably well built and the rubber grips are a pleasant addition as is the inbuilt battery. Overkill for normal gaming but totally worth it as a gift item for someone who enjoys gaming.
