Get the extended warranty either from the retailer you purchase it from, or direct from Microsoft. I have had 3 of the controllers all start to present issues within 1 year of purchase. Stick drift, bad bumpers or triggers and sticking A,B,X,Y buttons. No drops, no spills Moderate gaming use. Be warry. This is sold as a premium product, and IMO the quality and durability falls far short of the price tag.

Elite 2 controller core for the win

If your old expensive elite 2 controller broke and need a replacement? Buy the core and take the parts off your old controller and voila, you have a fully functional elite 2 controller with all the bells and whistles at a fraction of the price. Don't forget the protection plan for when you get stick drift.
