Battery lasts days, everything is as promised and better. Buttons feel great, grip is amazing doesn’t feel and the controller doesn’t feel broken or cheap. You’ll know you’re holding an amazing piece of technology. Only problem is that I have had it for half a year and the bumpers are already broken, would be a huge issue but I purchased the warranty. Everyone else beware of your controller breaking easily.

I have bigger hands so I find this controller to fit in my hand well. I use it to play on my gaming PC and iPad Pro. The xbox accessories app helps with mapping the controller and you are able to save up to 3 different profiles based in what you need. I did not need to bug the paddles for extra customization on the back of the controller but it has the options available to you. You can switch modes to change how deep upu have to squeeze the back triggers to avoid wear and tear or responsiveness. Very easy to set up on Windows and even IOS. I expected it to give me a bit of trouble linking to my iPad but i was pleased to see it did not. All in all, I really enjoy the controller. I also, find the vattery life on it on a full charge quite long. Most times i use it for a couple of days before I plug it back in to charge.

I had and still use the original Elite controller (that one is now used on my desktop). This controller lives up to the reputation of the original and improves it. It's lighter yet more substantial when you are holding it. It has excellent battery life, and the feel of all the keys are mostly solid. I love the new size of the back paddles. Before I was always hitting them when I sat the controller down (which is a pretty big deal when watching Netflix or OneGuide video content). This one, I haven't registered a key press at all when I sit the controller down. Also, I love the charging stand. I keep the stand in my case and just charge when I'm not using it for a day or so. The case is a well designed accessory. +5 stars What I don't like, the built in batteries. I fear that eventually burn in memory will present as an issues, and I won't be able to replace the batteries -- Minus .5 stars. I also think this controller is priced too high -- Minus .5 stars. Other thoughts -- some have said the build quality is still an issue, particularly from units bought from BestBuy. I can say, I haven't had a single issue with build quality.

Awesome controller for people who aren’t children

Honestly, the best controller ive ever used and purchased. Completely blew the base controller out of the water. For the extra price, the added benefits really are worth it. Ive had it for six months now with daily 2-3 hour usage on it, not a single issue. The people complaing about issues are the ones who cant take a loss and throw their controller in a fit of rage. Its a premium controller, not a wii remote. Treat it like a premium product and it’ll reward you swimmingly.

The absolute best controller out there today

While the controller is expensive, the build quality and customization makes it well worth it. Once you use this controller, all other controllers will feel like cheap pieces of plastic. They’ve finally fixed the bumper issue that’s plagued Xbox one controllers from the beginning. The amount of customization you have is incredible. You can assign a button to be a shift toggle that turns other buttons to become other buttons. You adjust your triggers to 3 different settings allowing you to pull the trigger faster since they’ll be less travel. You can even adjust the thumbstick tension. On top of all that it comes with changeable D-Pad, analog sticks, and paddles. All this is packed into a nice case that allows you to charge the controller. The cradle can be removed if you so choose and you can change the controller while playing by plugging the USB-C straight into the controller. Some people won’t like the fact that you can’t change the batteries but I’ve been getting easily 40-60 hours of battery life per charge. And on a final note, you can assign button profiles to the controller and can easily swap between 3 of them this time around instead of 2. There’s even a default setting so there’s technically 4 hot-swappable profiles. Overall I highly recommend this controller to anyone who enjoys gaming. I honestly think It’ll enhance everyone’s experience, even if there’s a slight learning curve for the paddles. I’d also recommend the Best Buy warranty. The standard warranty is only 90 days and if you’re gonna be spending $180 on a controller I’d spend the extra $20-$30 for the 2 year protection plan. While I haven’t had any trouble with it yet, I’ve seen some people online have problems with theirs.

2 months in and I'm happy with the series 2! The smaller paddles make a big difference when your using the 4 paddles. The big seller on this model is the full grip and does it help when your playing a hot session on a FPS. So far not button or paddle problems and everything charges according. Charges last about 2x long that the previous controllers. Overall a better buy. My only grind is the previous elite controller felt heavier but that's a personal grind.

This controller is fantastic. I was skeptical. The price is a bit steep. That said, the controller has some weight to it. It's study and the internal rechargable battery last A LONG time. Best controller I've ever owned.

I used my Elite Series 1 for years and wore it out, even changed it's housing/buttons over time, still works to this day. Loved every minute of it, and the successor is an even more reliable move forward. I love the case/charger combo, makes putting down my controller and always having battery so much better. Less to think about. Super responsive controls and the customizabilty is extremmely flexible

The Elite Series 2 shows its age by lacking hall effect or TMR sticks. Thus it is very susceptible to stick drift. Reliabilty is also an issue as well. I lucked out I guess as mine lasted about a year before getting stick drift. Battery wise its still the best pro controller Ive tried on Xbox and Ive used almost all of them. Still a decent pro controller especially if purchased on sale. I strongly recommend buying the Best Buy warranty just in case it does have issues.

When it comes to reliability and performance, the Elite series stands out as my top choice. Since the introduction of the Elite 1, this controller has proven exceptional. It outperforms its cheaper Xbox counterpart by a long shot. The ability to where Customization is key to a gamer style of play this controller is it. It enhances your gaming experience with the upgraded thumbstick pegs and button mapping flaps, making it the ultimate controller for PC gaming and Xbox first-person shooters. I Couldnt be happier.

Feels much better than the standard controller but

I owned the original Elite controller, which I loved, and bought this on a whim while picking up my Series X. The weight and texture of this controller gives it a much higher quality feeling than the standard one. Its features including the ability to adjust the tension of the sticks, the included magnetic charging stand, etc., are awesome, however, like many mine wasn't flawless out of the box. I almost returned it due to my A button not working every time I pressed it (worked 7-8/10 times testing it), and I decided to fix it myself using the tape method. It's worked flawlessly since. I didn't want to gamble exchanging it for another one. I also priced out DIY modding a standard controller with a new shell, rechargeable batteries and stand, quick triggers, and more but it wouldn't have cost all that much less than this item when I bought it on sale, and still would have a few features missing. Overall I'm happy with it considering all it's bells and whistles, the feel vs the standard controller, and the sale price I bought it at, but 1 star subtracted for having to fix a brand new and still expensive controller.

Recommend, especially if you already have an elite or elite accessories. Without the accessories I do not think it is worth it. In my case i have an ild elite with stick drift and stuck buttons that is no longer under warranty. Bought this as a cheaper alternative as all of the additions work with it as well.

One of the Best controllers on the market! My only gripes is that the bumpers seem to go bad after about 3 months of use, and the sticks begin to drift after about a week or so. But besides that, it's the perfect controller! (Mainly get this if you've already got the Series 2 kit with added paddles and everything already.)

Super weighty and premium in terms of feel. Pairs quickly and works without interruptions in my experience. Battery life is great! I got about a week and a half of heavy use out of it on a single charge. Costs a lot, but totally worth it in my book.

    A button not registering

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have bought 2 of these controllers within 4 days of each other, both of them from Gamestop brand new out of the box. Unfortunately both of them were plagued with the same problem. The A button would not register 100% of the time as I discovered while playing Halo. My character would not accurately jump. I went into the controller settings on the dashboard of the Xbox to watch the button feedback while the buttons are being registered. The A button would appear when pressed and disappear while also pressed. All of the other buttons would remain registered and appear on the screen. The A button was the only issue I had with both of these controllers. I'm hoping I was just unlucky and purchased a bad batch. Its a very comfortable controller.

Pricey but high quality and good feel. I use it with a PC via Bluetooth, Definitely an upgrade over my 360 controllers. Unfortunately the customization of the paddles on the back isn't working after I switch from USB cable to Bluetooth, so taking off a star for that. It essentially makes the paddles useless for me. So minus one star for that. Also I'd hear there was a drift issue with these so I asked if I could buy a service plan, but the clerk told me I had to pay for a Best Buy membership to buy a plan. So no plan, hopefully I can use the warranty if there is an issue. Odd when people won't take your money. I won't deduct a star for that since it doesn't reflect on the product, more of an issue with Best Buy.

    Overpriced, not for casual games

I have had this controller for 4 years or so now. The RB button no longer works, i have to press down on it harder to work and this ruins gameplay. Also, the rubber grip started to wear off. There were too many buttons and accessories and for me it wasn’t worth $180. Smaller parts would eventually break. I don’t recommend for casual gamers, you are better of buying the cheaper controller for $60.
