Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the controller's exceptional overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. Users also frequently praise the device's comfortable grip, balanced weight, and high-quality tactile feel. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the durability of the buttons and bumpers, as well as the early onset of stick drift. Despite these technical frustrations and the premium price point, many still consider it a top-tier gaming accessory.

I’ve already had to ship of the controller for a replacement due to a sticky right bumper. Microsoft did replace it but I had to send the controller back first and wait for a replacement.

They don’t make controllers like they use too, even the high end ones. Feels nice, but very disappointed in how long they last, on my secound one.

Whether you get the elite or a standard controller expect something to be wrong with it the minute you take it out of the box. Over the past year I had to return 12 controllers from various retailers because there was some manufacture defect with it. Whether it was a button not registering a input or a analog stick drifting you will probably notice it right out of the box or within a few weeks of owning one and the elite 2 is no exception. You have been warned future buyers.

Great controller -- if it worked properly. Had analog drift out of the box which was a recurrent problem I had with the original elite controller and hoped would be fixed with the new one.

Kinda odd it doesn’t come with the back paddles even but the controller overall just is not great. Bad grip and the stock thumb-sticks come off too easily. Customer service was great though

So Im writting this the same day I ended up picking it up from the store which for whatever reason was only getting sold at a best buy 50 miles away and they didnt do shipping... Cons... #1 the Hair Trigger Lock Slider is placed right where my middle finger would be making it feel a bit weird #2 The A and B buttons werent always registering, at first I didnt think much of it I honestly thought I didnt press them correctly or something but as I started playing COD it became too noticeable and I went into the Xbox Accessories Test Mode on my Series X and there was when I saw that indeed the Elite 2 controller wasnt registering the A and B correctly, Id say it only successfully registered about 80% of the time and thats a NO GO! A huge disappointment! I waiting so long cuz its always selling out and when I did actually get it it turns out to be defected. I love Xbox, I know these things happen but it just sucks when they happen to you! Im going to have to return this controller and wait again until they restock! I just hope I dont have to travel 50 miles again just to get one! Sadly I have to give a 1 Star review right now but once I get my hands on another one Ill write a updated review

Terrible quality. This controller cost way to much for it to break after a month of use. Microsoft do better and stop the money grab. If you do buy this terrible controller, buy it with geek squad protection or you will be sorry. PlayStation controllers last years without messing up like these. I stop buying the regular controllers because I thought these would be better, it’s not. They won’t crack if they fall of the table, but the issue is game play. All I play is Madden and CoD. A lot of hit sticks and running. After a month the controllers will lag and die while playing or you see the screen move while you are not moving it. Most of the time after a hit stick tackle my controller dies and I have to power back on while in the middle of a game. In the past, I thought I was having issues because I didn’t keep them updated, that’s not it. The current one I have is updated weekly and I still have the same issue. I don’t think I will be wasting my money on these anymore. I will try other brands.

Although the controller is excellent, there are many problems with it when it is connected to the PC through Bluetooth, it causes every game to lag badly. Additionally, the volume fluctuates on its own. Same outcome after trying it on three separate PCs. No luck after updating the controller. It only functions properly when linked through USB.
