The ability to have the paddles underneath used for buttons and not have to take your fingers off the joysticks are essential

The Xbox One Elite controller was mocked when it was initially revealed - $150 for a controller? The criticism was always silly I thought (custom SCUF controllers cost even more) and lo and behold - now that the controller's been released, it's continually sold out and it's really popular. And it should be, because the Elite is such an awesome controller to have - it's the best on the market by far. As soon as you take this thing out, you'll see it's a luxurious device - the rubber grips make it very comfortable to hold, and the controller has a nice bit of weight to it. Better yet, the customization options really can give you an edge in some games - the swappable thumbsticks and d-pads (all easily removed yet, firmly held in place by magnets) are helpful. The attachable paddles? They're even better - they really allow you to do stuff you normally can't do, like jump and aim in a FPS at the same time with the default control scheme. For FPS games like Halo 5 or Black Ops III, this can be a big help - it won't magically make you good, but it'll make a difference here or there, helping you get a kill you normally might not be able to. Even for non-FPS games like, say, Dragon Age: Inquisition, you can at least assign the loot ping to a paddle so you don't have to press the right thumbstick in over and over and over while searching for stuff. The only thing with the paddles is that they take time to adjust to - you'll probably have to spend a day or two rewiring your brain to utilize the paddles properly (and to not accidentally push them). Add in the ability to adjust thumbstick sensitivity, reassign buttons, and turn on hairlock triggers for faster shooting, and you have a controller that is insanely customizable and can make any game a bit easier to play. In short, if your primary video game console is an Xbox One, you should consider dropping $150 on this thing - it's pricey, but it really is worth it. It makes your everyday gaming experience more enjoyable, so over the lifespan of the console, it's an investment that can pay off.

The controller is close to a scuf gaming controller but cheaper. I recommend you get this controller for any shooting game.

I love all the buttons and features you can customize with it. Wish there were colors to choose from.

Use this for PC exclusively, love that it automaps the buttons, and the thumb stick feel alone makes it worth the extra money.
