I didn't buy the Xbox One Elite controller to gain an advantage while gaming, I just needed a controller that wouldn't break within 2 - 5 months of ownership. The standard Xbox One controllers are poorly constructed with parts that are much too easy to break. I have owned some version of the Xbox One for almost two years and have managed to go through about five controllers since my original purchase. Yes, they are that flimsy. The Elite controller feels like a premium product from the weight of the controller down to the responsiveness of the controls. I still don't have too much faith in the longevity of the controller considering that Microsoft still only warrants this product for 90 days (the same amount of time as a standard controller), so I bought a Geek Squad warranty just in case. Fingers crossed.

This controller is phenomenal the weight and feel is superior to the standard controller. The paddles are great for mapping to far reaching buttons or combinations. I have really enjoyed using it!

This controller should only be purchased by or for the hardcore players that will use it to its full potential. The button mapping is pretty straight forward and the customization is just endless.

I was a bit skeptical when first considering to buy this controller. The main reason was due to the price. $150 for a single controller is pretty hefty however when I put it into perspective it was a no brainer. Consider how many controllers you've gone through since you got your Xbox one. For me I had gone through two controllers since I purchased my Xbox back in November 2015. Now I'm pretty careful when it comes to taking care of a controller however with both of them I had the same issue of the right thumbstick getting stuck for time to time. The issue wasn't that huge since the thumbstick would only get stuck for about a second or two HOWEVER during shooter games this was just not going to work. Consider the prices of controllers if you're debating purchasing the Elite controller. In just 5 months I had gone through two controllers. Each of those controllers costing approximately $70 after taxes so about $140 total so far. At that rate it only makes sense to purchase this controller! The build is easily twice if not three times as good as the regular controllers! It's made with real metal and the fact that you can personalize the controller with not only the programmable paddles on the back but you can also mess with the sensitivity of your thumbsticks, shorten up the distance to engage your right and left triggers using the trigger stops and even program separate button layouts using the slider in the middle of the controller. Not to mention, you can completely switch the controller settings with the flip of said switch. All in all, if you are teetering between getting this controller or not really consider how many controller's you've gone through so far. Yes the controller is optimized for professional game play but keep in mind you can literally use it exactly the same as a basic controller by removing the paddles on the back and not engaging the hair triggers. The ONLY reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is due to the paddles on the back sometimes being pressed when you do not want them to. For example, setting the controller down is not ideal as usually the top right paddle will get engaged and may screw up your game. For example, I have my top right paddle programmed to be the B button. So whenever I press pause on a game I have to be very careful how I set my controller down so that it does not accidentally unpause my game. This has happened more than a few times. Overall GREAT controller and honestly worth the extra money.

Nice controller which is weighted and has better grips for gaming competitive matches. Comfortable on the hands and paddles are easy to use although I only use 2 out of the 4 provided. I didn't think I was heavy handed but I broken the left bumper which is used to jump in Halo 5 on bumper jumper, with insurance ($20 extra) it was replaced as soon as I took it into the closest shop. I highly suggest taking out this insurance or you will need to send it to Microsoft which costs the same for P&P then you have to wait 2-3 weeks for them to send you out a replacement.

This might be the best controller I have ever used. The controller itself is very light weight but, still feels very durable. All the parts that create this customer controller feel sturdy and are easy to swap yet they fit snug in their positions. The case houses everything perfectly and was a great idea for containing this package in one place. Kudos for a well thought design and a great execution.

This is a great controller! It's noticeably heavier than the standard controller and that extra weight feels great when gaming. I love the customizing options for the underside paddles. Only complaint is that I hit the underside paddles by accident. The fix for that was two take the lower two off and just stick with the upper ones. Love that you can take them off and attach them with ease. Overall, a great controller for any serious gamer.

This is the best controller ever, the aluminum parts, swappable sticks and d-pad, paddles on the back and overall programmable features of the controller makes this the best thing ever. You can control or re-program every aspect of this controller from the vibration of each part to the sensitivity of the triggers. Even the brightness of the lit xbox logo! The weight of it is perfect as well. I love it. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

From the moment you pick up the controller to programming and finally playing your favorite title ... simply magic. You'll notice some weight which I personally welcome, you're holding something of quality. The programmability and physical configurability make this controller both easy to grip and control. I highly suggest this controller for anyone who is looking for quality, flexibility, and anyone who games for long periods of time.

Even though it is kinda pricey, its worth it. Easily the best controller I have ever held in my hands. It feels, looks and performs like a premium product. The joysticks are so responsive it will amaze you, it blows the standard controller away in every department. Plus it comes in a handy case that holds all your extra parts. Very customizable and all around a great product. If you enjoy shooters on the x1 then this is a must buy

have used many different variations of the Xbox 360 and Xbox one controller. I think it's safe to say I am very familiar with the layout and over performance of a console controller. The controller is packaged very nicely, there is a sturdy cardboard box and inside is the controller in its own soft/hard case. Inside of the box you will find the usaul instruction manuals, but you will also fine a very long fabric covered micro USB cable. Inside of the controller case you will find the controller it's self and all of the accessories. The controller feels just a bit heavier than a standard controller. The back has rubberized grips that help it stay firmly in your grip. There are many differences to this controller versus the standard controller. There are 4 programmable buttons with easy reach aluminum paddles that can be mapped to any of the face buttons. There are also 2 switch's that let you adjust the travel of the triggers. I don't play many FPS games but I still use them for for many RPG games and the shorter travel does make a difference. You can also switch out the D-pad and the two joy sticks. I prefer the feel of the original joy sticks but the right way D-pad makes movements much easier than a standard four way. Over all if you are not a pro gamer you won't really NEED any of these featues, but if you are anything like me you will appreciate the controller for its quality and it's extra features. I would recommend this controller to anyone who wants the best controller experience around short of a fully customizable scuff controller.

Best grip and weight. Very sturdy parts. I recommend that everybody should get the warranty on it because after a lot of play the glue comes undone on certain parts.
