I only got the controller because I bought a new Xbox One S and it had a good special $115 plus a $20 gift card. But let me say this it changes your game the tall sticks make it easier to aim in FPS and the ability to shorten the triggers to basically make them hair triggers is cool as well as being able to save button layouts and change them on the fly. I'm not even talking about the other customizations you can do on the Xbox accessories app. You can tweak everything make the triggers even more sensitive. For fighting game that octagon dish makes doing combos easy. If you're a serious gamer then you should buy it, if you can afford it. I bundled everything and bought a headset and got 12 months zero interest which made it easier to swallow. Also this things feels great in your hands holding a regular controller after using this one makes everything else seem super light and like cheap plastic. This thing has heft. The silver on this thing is stainless steel and magnetized so you can switch the d-pad or the analog sticks quickly. I haven't even touched on the back paddles for racing games it makes using a manual feel like you are driving a car wth paddle shifters. But they do take a while to get used too. But after you aclimate it's a cool feature. It's not perfect but this make it so you can customize the controller to what you are playing from FPS, Racing, Fighting and anything else.

Controller is significantly heavier which feels nice . Have not got used to the paddles yet but overall a quality product.

My son is a serious gamer and we had stopped by several times so that he could look at this item. He was saving his money to buy one but because he is such a good student and great son I decided to surprise him with one. I have never seen him so happy with anything that we have bought him and we have bought him a lot! I'd read many of the early reviews on the Elite controller, and noticed many people saying that they felt it was a $75 controller at best. This did make me very slightly skeptical of it, but I truly do trust the history of the Xbox Controllers so when I saw it on the shelf, I still had to grab it. I am truly happy that I did. I will admit that if you just hook it up and use it, you'll see some excellent features in your hands, and you'll love them, but you may come away feeling like it is a $75-100 controller. Where the Elite controller really begins to shine is when you go into the digital settings via the Xbox One menu system, and digitally enhance the trigger pull profiles and other settings in the controller's software. The hardware is a beautiful thing, but the software package that supports and enhances the hardware is what really sets it apart from, and by apart from, I mean way out in front of, the competition. There is some learning curve that comes with using the Elite controller. Whether you swap the sticks for the included longer ones (I was slightly concerned about them being "only" held in place with magnets, but they've never even so much as slipped during use), or go into the menus and adjust the performance envelopes of the triggers and sticks, you're going to have to re-learn to play your games. It will be far more responsive, and far touchier at first, but the more you play, the more intuitive it will become, and you'll find yourself improving over time with use. The paddles under the controller are a true blessing to any twitch gamer. You can independently map the "normal" controller buttons to each of the four paddles, and in doing so you can assure that you'll be able to hit all of the buttons on the controller without removing either of your thumbs from the thumb sticks. I highly recommend the Elite Controller to any and all gamers.

The build quality of this thing is impressive, more so than I expected even at the hard to stomach price point, but this controller is absolutely worth it on feel alone. The weight of the controller and the way the buttons feel when pressed is satisfying. If you are into FPS the paddles make it worth it all by itself.

Best controller I've ever owned. Has any variation of analog sticks that you'll ever need. A dpad made to give a competitive edge in fighting games. And it has 4 removable paddles on the back to program to any button you desire. The program is great also, you can adjust that analog sticks, remap buttons, and there is also a switch on the controller for two different settings so you can have the controller programmed for one game and programmed a different way for another, and all you need to do it slide a switch over. Great controller, I have 0 complaints.

This controller is really well built with detachable parts and custimizability. The parts a connected by magnets and they stay on very well never feeling loose but also don't feel difficult to remove if needed. it has a nice soft touch feel to the controller and many parts are made of some sort of sturdy metal.

Great controller and awesome quality. Controller itself has a rubber texture for grip enhancement, and the triggers and trim up top feels like aluminum. It’s got some heft to it but I like that... makes it feel like your holding quality and not the basic plastic ones.

Microsoft got this controller right. I love the feel and being able to customize it to your liking. Worth the money.

Phenomenal feel, grip, and weight. Excited to use the paddles, but they are hard to get used to and very sensitive.

This controller is worth every penny. No other let’s you customize as much and the feel is great.

while this is a very well built controller with nice heft, you can only program the paddles to be face buttons or triggers on the controller. You can't assign macros or key combos or turbo anything like that. If this functionality ever comes, this is a must buy. Otherwise, skip it. It's just a heavier controller.

The price is steep but we'll worth it. Quality materials and so much is customizable! Great for intense gamers.

We decided to get this as a gift for our 17 year old gamer. We were kind of stumped what to get him this year as he has everything he wants. When a co-worker recommended the elite controller we researched it and thought it would be a great gift. We decided to purchase one but procrastinated until the last minute. From research prior we thought we would be able to get one locally at GameStop. 2 days before Xmas I knew I didn't have much time so I called my local GameStop and they laughed at me and said good luck finding one they are out of stock everywhere. I checked online at more local retailers including Bestbuy and they were sold out. Everywhere online was out of stock besides one online retailer from overseas which I didn't trust. So we decided they probably will come back in stock after the holidays and we decided to get a gift card at Bestbuy for the amount and include a picture of it "coming soon". I went to Bestbuy and picked out a gift card from the rack at the front of the store. I was about to checkout when I decided to just look in the gaming section so I took a little detour and arrived at the Xbox section. Lo and behold there was one there! I was so happy I decided to go to my local Bestbuy they did not fail me once this year I did the majority of my holiday shopping through Bestbuy this year and it was a real treat. I got my girlfriend a remote start from Bestbuy this year and had Geek Squad install it through a deal of the day at an unbeatable price as I shopped around prior. Also a Fitbit charge and a lap desk on a flash sale. Also got tons of video games all because I'm a GCU member and also Bestbuys yearly buy 2 get 1 free sale. All while earning rewards certificates for future purchases. Bestbuy has been my goto for holiday shopping and more.

Decent controller, good quality, good customizations. If you're not used to paddles, then they take some time to adjust to or you can remove them easily

The controller offers many ways to customize play which is great. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. Also, the customization is not useful on all games.

This is hands down the best controller around. I love the weight, button mapping, and the style.
