Not reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had one month before left joystick quit working when pushing down. Have had no issues with the regular controller. Expected so much more since it is 3 time more. Will try one more time.

issues, issues and more issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.for a $150 controller, its build quality is shoty at best. bought this back in September after my xbox one s controller started having issues with the joystick, right bumper, right trigger, and the A,B,X,Y buttons. for a comparison it took my xbone S controller about a year before these issues started (it was the gears of war 4 swarm edition) and about a year after that before i got tired of it and replaced it. the ELITE controller: within 30 days i had a "snap back" issue with both thumb sticks. this means when you "flick" the thumb stick in one direction it reads both the flick and the return. (so if i flick the thumb stick right it will flick back left as well). this issue was random and easily livable so i adjusted. after about 2 months my right trigger started squeaking. again, random and not a big issue. after 90 days my right bumper, and thumb stick started missing inputs randomly. again, livable as i always spam press buttons for actions anyways. this started happening to X and Y buttons as well a few days later. this week i decided enough was enough and trade it in after another xbone S controller (standard issue white controller) started having issues.(i knew full well that all of these issues would happen so i bought the geek squad warranty) went down and replaced it for free and bought a warranty for my now second elite controller. here's hoping it makes it past 6 months! overall: i would recommend this controller as it feels a 1000 times better in my hands than the standard xbone s controller. but if you do get it: remember it does NOT have bluetooth, get it on a sale, and ALWAYS get the geek squad protection plan!

Get protection with purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The elite is the best controller ever to hit any system, plug and play with windows 10, awesome on Xbox one. The longevity however leaves me wanting. My first died after a year, this time I added 2 year protection

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the feel of this controller but the left trigger broke within the 1st month. I purchased the bestbuy warranty so hopefully the new one will last longer.

good design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller felt great and i lihe quick trigger. But for an $150 item, it should not break that easy and my usb port on it stopped charging after a month.

Great until it breaks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through 4 of these controllers. Each one has failed due the sticks becoming loose by becoming unglued from the internal base. The first one failed within the first month but I kept using it. It wasn't until I used a standard Xbox One controller that I realized how bad the Elite was for accurate movements because the sticks were loose. I then ordered a new one from Amazon and the sticks were bad out of the box. They sent me a replacement which was great for a week and then one stick became loose again and began drifting. I was hoping it was an issue with Amazons stock so I went to Best Buy. Knowing the issues, I bought a warranty. Within 1 week of buying the controller, the sticks became loose again. So I exchanged it with the standard exchange and the sticks on the new one were the best yet. Loved how solid and tight they were. But two weeks later, they too developed a looseness. I held onto the controller until this week when I exchange it. I do not abuse my electronics. I am extremely careful and baby them more than anyone I know. My standard controllers for Xbox and PS4 have no issues. The odd part is I have 4 friends with Elite controllers and even after more than a year none of them have experienced the issues I constantly have. It's definitely odd but it's time to stick with regular controllers because those last a long time. Also, by looking at the reviews and YouTube videos, it appears this issue is widespread. Why does it happen? I believe it's because the sticks are metal yet the internal mechanism for the stick base plastic so it wears down quickly. Great quality on the outside but cheaply made on the inside. I do not recommend at all because Microsoft refuses to address this.

Peeling Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a couple weeks of use, the controller started peeling and I had to return it. Perhaps it was a bad batch as my brother has the same controller and has not had these issues.

Works well but the rubber will start to fall off.

Great Controller Grips are terrible
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the controller and everything it offers but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. The grips came apart in less then 6 months.

different than scuff
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had multiple scuff brand controlers. I thought I'd give the elite a try. It looked like it was going to be great, but once I started using it, I wasn't so happy. I took it back.

Ok, but disappointed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Controller for my son, but unfortunately I bought the "open box" Controller which had very visible wear on the sticks. My belief when buying "open box" was that it was new, but had been returned for whatever reason, not used. It was obviously a refurbished, which should have been discounted more. The paddles had continous use wear, which occurred from being used for a considerable amount of time. On Christmas when my son opened this gift he immediately recognized it was used. Best Buy didn't show any consideration for this issue.

Not worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for this controller but it simple is not worth the price. It doesn't do much more than the standard controller. Save your money!

High hopes but falls flat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really loved the weight and feel of this controller. It seems like it would be a very stable and heavy duty controller. But that is just not the case. They went big on some parts, and clearly very cheap on others. I went through 3-4 via Geek Squad exchanges. It was always the right bumper that broke. Everytime. Cheap plastic holding it together would snap after little use. Would not recommend.

The “RB” button broke in 2 weeks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price of the elite controller it’s honestly not worth it. It’s extremely more fragile than a regular Xbox controller. I bought this for my son 2 weeks before Christmas and now I can’t even get an exchange for it. I’m very disappointed in the quality of the controller and in Best Buy’s exchange policy
