Junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mainly because of the poor rear paddle placement on the back of the controller. The rear paddles are in the way of a natural hold which causes you to have to totally adjust your grip or remove them all together which defeats the purpose of the paddles even being there. Also the grip on it doesn't last. Buy a SCUF in the end. You'll lose some of the customizing with a SCUF but it's a better controller in the end.

A Truly Elite Controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller really feels like a premium product as the surface has a kind of rubbery, suede feel to it. The controller is heavier than a traditional controller which feels great to hold as well as the rubber grips on the back of the controller. Swapping out the joysticks, d pad or paddles is fairly simple as well remapping the buttons. This is truly a controller that is great for competitive play but can be used for any game really. It feels great to hold and will make playing games much more comfortable. I highly recommend this controller to anyone as you'll find yourself not wanting to play with any other controller than this one.

Plastic bits holding bumpers together easily break
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thought this would help me stay alive a bit longer as I am not a hard core gamer (but am a wannabe!). I am a petite woman so I know my little hands did not cause the bumper to break. Watched an online video to troubleshoot my problem and found that this is a very common weakness. Returned this broken item and went back to the regular xbox one controller. Don't waste your time. FYI: warranty on this is shamefull!

Not worth the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Left stick started to drift after 6 months of normal use, contacted Microsoft and was informed that there is only 90 day warranty, for the cost of the controller it should last a lot longer and come with a 3 year warranty. Great at first but a bad choice to purchase. Still have the original controller and no issue with it.

Worth The Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the best controller you can get on the market for the Xbox One in my opinion. There are many people who go to third party retailers to get custom controllers, but this one is just as good if not better. Sturdy, and with plenty of options, when it comes to customization. Impressed with the fine tuning just by switching out to the larger control sticks, and the ease of changing over to the paddle triggers on the bottom. Very Pricey item, but worth it compared to what you would be charged for a custom third party controller. Easy to program with the Xbox software and well worth the buy.

Stopped connecting within a month
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the controller on 9/7/17 and on 9/24/17 it stopped connecting out of nowhere. Tried to bring it back to Best Buy and found they only had a 15 day period to bring items back. Way too short for electronics. Went to Microsoft and immediately got more help than I did from Best Buy. In the future will just buy items directly from Microsoft instead of paying a premium for Best Buy.

SHORT LIFESPAN SHORTER WARRENTY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.started out as a 4 star controller only issue i had was a picky d-pad that didnt always register being pressed down unless more pressure was applied then the other 3 directions as for everything else the controller feels amazing, works with previous play and charge kits, HAD flawless input other then the picky dpad which i decided to live with. paddles work/felt/fit good and you could do alot more with it then the standard controllers like the hair trigger locks and the ability to switch button mapping between two presets. about 4 months into the lifespan and ive noticed that my right thumbstick was starting to wander on screen. opened up the accesories app to confirm that it is sticking up and sometimes wont even register going down. checked the left stick even though i didnt notice anything in game and its wandering too but to the right. warrenty only covers 90 days which is sad for a controller that costs half the price of the console

Posted .Hello gameralex. Microsoft warrants the Xbox One or Accessories will not malfunction under Normal Use Conditions for 1 year from the date you purchased it; and for Accessories, means 90 days from the date you purchased it. Please contact us directly so we can assist you with a possible replacement at: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one . We apologize for any frustration this has caused and hope this was helpful to you.

Already had to replace it
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As much as I love the functionality of the Elite controllers, the overall quality, especially for the price, is poor. I bought one for myself and one for my wife and in less than a year, we've already replaced them both. I can see why there's a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft for making such low-quality products.

Excellent Controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller has a great feel to it, the weight is just right. It is hard to transition back to the original controller if I'm at a friends house and I didn't bring this with me. I purchased this controller during a promotion where they gave a copy of Halo 5 along with it. The paddles definitely add another dimension to game play, took a while to get used to and I'm only using the short ones. The long paddles are just too sensitive. The ability to swap the thumb sticks was my main reason for getting this, though that feature is available to all Xbox one users with the Xbox Accessories App.

Stay away better products out there
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is garbage, don’t get me wrong it works great paddles are dope but mann does this thing fall off every surface. You literally have to place it in the middle of anything you put it on. Even worse it is ridiculously top-heavy almost always falls on the left and right triggers making performance worse.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as comfortable as a scuff due to paddle placement. Came with a faulty thumb stick that drifts.

Once you try it, the price becomes inconsequential
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have about 10 hours in with this controller so far. I'm the kind of player who puts in 1-2 hour per day but would love to play more if I could find the time. I'm not a pro, and I'm not in to hard core shooters, just a regular guy who loves to play video game. I'm currently playing Fallout 4 with this controller, and while many would categorize my purchase as "excessive", or "overkill" for my purpose, to them I would say "no way". This is a gamer's controller; the one that we would all put together if we had the resources to do so. Fortunately, we don't have to. It already exists in the Xbox One Elite Controller. This thing is absolutely amazing. The form, fit, and function is impeccable, and it will make you smile every time you pick it up. Don't let anyone tell you that it's exclusive to a certain level or type of player, it's for anyone who calls them self a gamer. Do yourself a favor, if you have the miens, and any interest whatsoever, use some of that Christmas money and invest in one. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Better than a Scuf
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had a Scuf controller before and the elite controller is so much better. The price is actually great compared to Scuf. It handles similar to scuf as well. You get so many features like button mapping, choose if you want to have 2 or 4 paddles on, (I prefer 2 paddles) option of domed or concave analog sticks, and trigger stops. The price of all these features would easily cost more than 200 from scuf. PLUS you actually get an option for warranty. I bought a scuf and it only comes with a 3 month warranty and i was upset once my scuf started to break down after 3 months of use.

Why buy a Scuf now?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft now has a controller that in my opinion now trumps Scuf which alot of pro gamers use. The Elite feels much better than the standard controller and has far more customization included. Just try to build a comparable Scuf model and you will easily be over $200 and even then you couldnt swap things out as easily. The paddles are great if you choose to use them or simply remove them if they dont work for you. The trigger stops work great in most first person shooters. If you can get past its price, you will find that the Elite is an incredible controller.
