Most of reviews that I read on the controller simply said that it was nice, but expensive. I don't feel as though that is a true review of the product. When someone wants to look at reviews, seeing that the product is expensive gives them no true review of the product. Right out of the box the controller feels great in your hands. Slightly heavier than your average xbox one controller. The metal accents that attach magnetically make the joy sticks much smoother and you can tell that it will last. With previous controllers that I've used, the plastic joy sticks tend to wear down and aren't nearly as smooth as the upgraded metal ones. There are so many ways to customize your elite controller to get the best experience out of it. I love the adjustable hair triggers that can easily be switched between full and half trigger pulls. The controller also comes with extended joy sticks that can be swapped out quickly, with one of the sets being dome-shaped similar to older Playstation controllers. These added sticks along with the four adjustable paddles fit perfectly in a neat carrying case. I personally only use two of the paddles on the rear of the controller, as I find it hard to comfortably grip it will all four attached. This still allows me to use the A and B function without taking my right thumb off the joystick. This was the main reason for me to purchase the controller in the first place. I was undecided between the elite controller and ordering a Scuf online. I am extremely happy with my purchase and glad that I didn't order the Scuf. After using one of my friend's Scuf controllers, the paddles were much harder to push. If I were to build a Scuf with the same features as the Xbox One Elite Controller, I would be looking at a controller well over 200 bucks.

When it works it's great used 2 months and the left button quit working retuned to store and now the new one has a right trigger button that sticks

LB stuck after a few months and microsoft only warranties an overpriced controller for 90 days. Paperweight

PROS: GREAT WEIGHT AND COMFORT IN THE HANDS (especially for people with large hands); EXTREMELY CUSTOMIZABLE WITH ABILITY TO PLAY WITH 4 PADDLES OR NONE; USE THE STANDARD D-PAD OR THE WHEEL (for fighting games it is super handy)& different thumbstick lengths and types (concave and convex...you choose as they are easily switched out); Ability to adjust trigger sensitivity and trigger stops (A MUST FOR FPS!) CONS: Only 2 profile saves on the controller for on the fly changing (definitely save many more on the console and the ability to download other peoples profiles and save to your ELITE); SHORT WARRANTY FROM XBOX/MICROSOFT (buy an extended warranty if possible, because $150 bucks is still a hefty sum even if it's a good value compared to other modded controllers.) REVIEW: I preordered my Xbox elite controller when it was initially offered. From the minute I first held it in my hands, it felt great. The weight and fit were perfect for my large hands. Some people think that the price is a little high, but if you go to the other guys on the internet (SCUF, EVIL, GAMERMODZ, AND OTHERS POP UP ALL THE TIME), these can get expensive and the more stuff you add, the pricier they get. I admit that EVIL has much improved on their controllers and their price tag, and so has SCUF ( I definitely have a preference between SCUF and EVIL Controllers.); you can program any button to the 4 paddles on the back, and they are removable; You may save 2 profiles on the ELITE controller and switch at the flip of a switch (other controllers, EVIL especially, I think has the ability to save 5+ profiles on the controller). You have complete control of the trigger sensitivity and the D-pad. My only real negative remark regarding the ELITE controller was that the warranty was the same as other Xbox controllers you buy new from the retailer. It may have changed, but I initially had to purchase my replacement due to the fact that my left thumbstick stopped working. I still have the same controller that I purchased as a replacement and it still performs like a CHAMP! NO REGRETS WHATSOEVER!!

Left bumper broke off. After 2 days of use one piece of the left bumper came undone. This controller is too expensive to break for no reason.

They're site label this in excellent condition it's got scratches and scuffs and the left analog stick DOA like common

The next main reason why the Xbox One Elite Controller is the controller that elite gamers have been waiting for is the customization available. As many know, all gamers are not the same. Some gamers have big hands and others have small hands. Some gamers like sturdy triggers while others like flimsier ones. The differences go on and on. To accommodate this, the D-Pad, triggers, and back pads can all pop off and be replaced with something more comfortable. This is important because you will be able to mix and match what fits you the best. The controller comes with a set of alternative D-Pads, Triggers, and Back Pads. The biggest innovation with this controller however is the inclusion of four paddles on the back of the controller. The four paddles mirror the four buttons on the front, which allows you to keep your thumbs on the thumbtacks at all times as well as your ring and index finger on the paddles. Basically this customization allows you to play faster and more efficiently because you can use more fingers instead of the usual four. It did not work well it slowed me down in the game I ended up having to buy a new controller because I was over the 15 day return policy

The buttons fall off its not worth the price ..should of bought a warranty but we never had a controller break

The controller's analog sticks can't be customized with a sensitivity that you created, instead you only get to choose a sensitivity for them. I remember watching a video on Xbox Live showing that you could do this with the APP, that's the main reason what I bought it for. But all and all I like the controller and it features, the grips, button mapping and how easy it is to keep clean, but I try not to squeeze it too hard whenever I use it, because the buttons for the paddles are easy to push. For that reason I found out that if you double tap the pairing button (small green one at the top) it can turn the paddles off and on.

Purchased twice both times item is backprdered ... still waiting for this a month later ... will never purchase again

Best wireless controller for a gaming system, period. The thing that surprised me the most was how solid it feels even though everything can be swapped quickly. There is a learning curve for the paddles, since I have never used anything like that before...a couple times in a tough spot I would take then off quickly while playing, and it couldn't be easier. I have not been happier with an expensive controller since I bought my Cyborg R.A.T. 9 mouse for my computer 5 years ago!

Broke within a few hours left bumber. Found out this is a comon problem after it broke and i researched it.

Waste of a $100!! It falls apart to easy, and is cheaply made.

Not a good value. Plus very difficult to charge. Need to remove backing which is difficult to perform.

Beautiful controller, from the packaging and case inside all the way down to the feel and performance. You'll never want to pick up your old xbox controller once you pick up the elite version here. It's got a solid feel and amazing precise control even with all the default selections. If you don't like it, change it out for one of the included accessories inside. I've felt more in control especially in games like FPS where precision is key. The case included was a nice surprise, and makes this feel even more like a premium product. One extra that I was missing and the reason for 4 stars is that this sucker did not come with rechargeable batteries inside to go with the included USB cable. Why give us the best controller ever and then make us use crummy AA duracells? Fix that and you have a real winner here.

I had my hopes up for this controller the concept is good but preformance was a let down

Expensive, but worth it. Love the swappable joysticks, fit and finish, and hair trigger locks. Have trouble getting used to the paddles, but they can be removed.
