Great product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this controller. It took a few days to get used to it, however, now that I'm used to it, it makes life so much easier playing. This is not for the regular gamer. If you play COD or Halo, this controller is just for you.

the controller that you need to buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1. the weight of this controller is the first thing you notice. 2. the magnetic switch outs are awesome 3. the button mapping takes a second or third try to get used to 4. I like the case it came with 5. I'm hiding this one from my kids and I bought the BBC accident warranty.. It's nice!

not bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft's first custom handle, although there are many small problems, but overall it is much better than the built-in handle, especially the back button customization function, which is essential for me.

Defective and Awkward
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one and the sticks made clicking sounds while being rotated. I exchanged it and got one that was even worse. Besides the clicking I found the controller to be very awkward to hold and use when the paddles are attached. I removed the large paddles and moved the small paddles to the bottom so I could somewhat grip the controller normally but it was still awkward and I found that I often hit the paddles on accident and couldn't grip the controller as firmly as I'm used to. The trigger locks are useless for games like Battlefield because when locked the right trigger does not go far enough to accelerate vehicles. Maybe the trigger sensitivity can be adjusted but making them more sensitive would make guns have hair triggers, which would be unrealistic and unsatisfying. I also found the controller to be very heavy and the weight distribution felt a bit off, which bothered me because I often sit in a recliner and hold the controller somewhat vertically while playing. When doing so, the controller seemed to be too top-heavy. The price was no issue and if the controller would have performed upto my expectations I would have paid $300 for it. The only things I liked about it were the rubber grips and ability to reload without taking my finger off the stick. When I programmed the paddles to jump and crouch I just found myself jump shooting and drop shooting all the time, which I soon realized is not a style of gameplay I enjoy even though it was quite effective. This controller may be great for others, but I found it more annoying than anything else.

Broken bumper after 10 months, thumbstick drift
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice controller and generally sturdy except for minor thumbstick drift and a broken left bumper. It is out of 90 day warranty so unless I can do a DIY repair that bumper is good as gone. Before this happened I would have recommended this controller, but after less than a year of careful use something as crazy as this rendering the bumper dead sort of doesn't justify the $150 pricetag. Might want to consider a PDP Afterglow or another product instead. If they release a 2nd Gen Elite Controller with better quality bumpers and sticks that may be the one to get. For now, I'd stick with a standard controller or anything else.

Excellent addition to my XBOX One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This joystick with all of the buttons made gaming much easier. The wear of the rubber pulling out is frustrating.

Good controller with a warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got my elite controller a few weeks after launch and it worked perfectly until the analog sticks became loose and developed slow turn. I have geeksquad two year product replacement plan and they exchanged my product hassle free and renewed my 2 year warranty.

Dead On Arrival
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.D-pad down was dead out of the box, with no visible damage to outer/inner shipping box or controller. "Stuff happens," and I understand that these are still in early production, but at this price level "unusable" earns one star. I ordered from Best Buy online, and will return directly to a store tomorrow for a full refund. I would not recommend this controller to anyone without a build quality warning first. I'd also recommend the Geek Squad warranty, so that there is some consumer protection in place in case of failure in materials and workmanship within a short time frame. I would not want to have to go through Microsoft for service. Hope you all have a better experience than I did! Good luck!

Worth the premium
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is worth every penny. I was on the fence about my purchase until I actually got the controller in my hands. The fit and finish of this thing is second to none.

Great Controller!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is high quality and tight on the controls. It does weight a bit compared to the standard ones. This takes a minute to get used to but is worth it in the end.

Great features, shoddy quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The features that the elite controller offer are unmatched in-game by any other Xbox controller. However, you MUST purchase the 2 year replacement plan. The controller will wear out or start to decompose

Awesome controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because of the movement system in Black ops 3. Having the paddles makes jumping and sliding way easier. You never have to take your hand off the joysticks.

Stick drift
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having this controller for about 6 months, I no have forward stick drift on this 150$ controller. I like the controller otherwise, but for the price to have this, and Im not the only one, happen to this controller is disappointing. They use the same analogue stick components as the lower priced controller. Ill not purchase another one.

Awesome Controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only issue was the rechargeable battery cover doesn't fit because of the new features. A few snips and was able to make the back cover work.

Controller doesn't last - not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st Elite controller came with the Elite console bundle and was very happy with it until after about 9 months the grips started peeling. Had to make multiple calls to MS to get it replaced under the console warranty as the controller warranty is a joke. 2nd controller was the replacement, which also had the grips outer and inner panels peel off after about 8/9 months. Then the right bumper stopped working. MS won't replace and told me to go buy another. Not spending more money on a clearly defective product.
