But it seems you have to have a controller for games even on the PC?? Seems strange but it was for the kiddo and he knows more than I do about the PC stuff. Anyway good value.

On PC just go to the Microsoft store, click on your profile, click on the redeem gift card/code, and copy/paste the code into the text box. You do have to enter payment details for some reason instead of the subscription just canceling afterwards, but I guess that's how things work now

Only unfortunate part is that certain games (Like Starcraft or Red Alert) require you to download those specific launchers for those specific companies. Such as Blizzard launcher or EA launcher. Would be better to just launch from 1 place instead of adding extra things.
