Corporations trying to go to games as a service model and this is just another way to remove ownership from the customer. Play as long as you pay, you don’t own any of the games unless you purchase them on the side. Cancel your subscription and you have nothing so you may feel like you’re stuck subscribing or you lose your progress or access to games. The library is huge and I like being able to sub for a month and try any games I’m interested before buying but I don’t keep game pass indefinitely.
