I've even had issues with the code not working. With these digital gift cards none of those issues exist, and you can just copy and paste the code to the Xbox site to redeem. Who doesn't like or want free games? Xbox has also started their trend of putting BRAND NEW games on gamepass on day 1 of the games release... I don't remember what I purchased or did to earn this, but ABSOLUTELY it's worth it, especially if you want to have a little demo of a game because you are debating buying it? simple decision in my opinion... you get to play how many games regardless of your choice on the game you are "demo-ing".
