Need for full use of Xbox

Its a given that you need this in order to take full advantage of your x-box, but in the end it's worth it. Not only does it allow you to play/communicate with others, but Microsoft offers deals on games and even some that are free. You do get billed for it every year but they are good about giving you a heads up via e-mail that they are getting ready to charge your card on file.

These are great to buy as gifts for kids that don't have access to credit cards so they can play with their xbox live friends. Gold membership also gets you about 4 games a month as a bonus to keep. Xbox 360 and earlier games as part of this offer are yours to keep, however Xbox One games only are yours so long as your account has an active Gold membership. Be careful when scratching off to reveal the codes on these cards. Scratch too hard, and you will not be able to see the code printed on the cardboard surface underneath!

Plus when you redeem the code that you get in the email and plug in to your xbox live acount on microsoft website, make sure to check auto renewal to get 1 extra month for free, so you have 13 months now!
