If you want to play online on the Xbox 360 having a gold membership is a necessity. This is 13 months for the price of 12, and I got it on sale for $20 off so it was even better.

It did exactly as stated. It gave me 13 months of Xbox Live.

Along with the two week free trail included with most games, I was going to buy another year subscription. The sales associate passed this tome which gives me another month free!

if you have an Xbox and you play online of course this is a must have. It is worth it. Microsofts online services are better then playstation and I am a fan of both systems.

The xbox live gold membership allows you to use every aspect of your console. You can chat with friends and use great apps such as skype. Even better, xbox has changed the requirement that each profile needed a live membership. Now, any profile on your xbox all benefits from the live membership for a single cost. Every child in my family can each sign in and utilize gold benefits. Its amazing. Great job microsoft.

The free month comes at the same price as the 12 month card, so this is the best deal you can get for Gold Membership, especially when it's on a decent sale.

I hope they make some fun robots like a big Panda or add a taunt when just finish opponents even some fun weapons like picking up random street junk as a sandal.

The requirement to pay to play games seems crazy, but has become a standard. Thankfully Microsoft does what they can to make it as worth it as possible. A one year pass saves 50% off the top, plus they throw in a bonus month. What really makes it a great value, are the two free games per month. Even at reduced prices, the games essentially cover every bit of the upfront cost of the pass
