I don't like giving xbox a credit card because I was hacked once and it was quite a hassle. I simply order the gold membership card from best buy, insert the code in my xbox, and I'm good for another year! Easy, quick, and much more secure.

Great little starter to introduce you to Xbox Live. After having bought this and using it for 2 weeks, I'm investing for the whole year.

It's a service that's required to play online on Xbox. You get free games every month. For the price it's not bad.

I mean, it’s not worth having an Xbox if you’re not online. So this is a necessity.

My son and I have enjoyed Xbox Live Gold since 2008. It's nice to be able to just fire up the system and dive into multiplayer gaming without having to prearrange a LAN party. I've never let the subscription lapse; that should tell you something about my perceived value of the service.

I had to buy this for my xbox games, and Best Buy was my only reliable source for this. Game code was emailed to me within minutes after purchase and code worked and accepted. I am good to go for another 12 months.

Need it to play online so its a must if you have multiplayer games

I would rather use this gift card than them Auto renew cuz you have to change it through the PC or your phone in order to shut off auto renew last time I checked.

XBOX Live Gold membership is a must have if you're going to spend the money on the XBOX. Tons of free games, extras, and other specials that make it well worth the $5/month/$60/yr. Special going right now where you get 2 free games a month through the end of the year with GOLD; sure, they're not the most brand new games, but they're FREE. Membership also gives you the ability to play multiplayer if you're into that, but my favorite feature by far is the ability to download games instead of buying them. Less clutter which is great if you're OCD!
