Also with gold, you get deals on games that you download online. My daughter got a game she wanted $15. cheaper cause she had live, gold membership. It's cheap also

So if you want to play online you need this. 1 month card is hard to find but I got it within minutes of purchasing via email.

But I was convinced by the cashier at the Best Buy I went to to go with the 12 month membership and am happy I did

Many people complain about having to purchase it but I don't mind because the service is better for it. The multiplayer experience is also better maintained with minimal concern for hackers, cheaters, etc.

Super convenient

I always buy 12 month subscriptions because it's the best bang for your buck. Gold let's you play online and gives you access to free games every month. Getting the code emailed is super convenient.

Xbox Gold allows you to play online with friends as well as get free games every month. I definitely recommend owning a gold subscription.
