Xbox live won't work anywhere but your home wifi on the one without jumping through a few hoops. Xbox or Microsoft is to blame there. Great product expensive and new at Best Buy if that's what you need.

I found the X-box live gold membership cheaper online at a different retailer. When I went into the local Best Buy store to purchase it was hassle free using their price match system. Very easy to deal with!

I wish Xbox would go back to family plan! But that has nothing to do with Best Buy and Xbox live is still fun just WAS a better deal! Hard to pay for it for a family of 5 plus buy expensive games!

Its a membership you can buy at certain times of the year at sale price about $20 cheaper. Buy it then and do not renew with your cc. They will automatically charge your card $59.00 otherwise.

I started a new relationship with Xbox starting with the recently launched Xbox One. I used to own PS3 and never owned either of PS Plus or Xbox Live memberships. I got this Xbox Live 12 month subscription FREE with my Xbox One bundle purchase during a promotion period. I am glad I did. The Xbox Live is a must for the games who play online a lot. I am not one of those. I like playing Campaigns more. But, the Xbox Live gives you FREE games (indirectly you actually paid for it) which I use. Disappointingly Microsoft's offering of free games like Worms Battlefield and Chariot is not impressive at all. And it will throw off the Xbox Live users like me who are not interested in playing Online multiplayer games. I hope Microsoft is taking a notice and they will do better by offering decent free games and be competitive with Playstation Plus subscription.

This is a good deal! Xbox Live gives you access to Netflix, etc. Even better, however, is Games with Gold - free games every month! The perks you get with this membership make it well worth it.

Decent bargain for what is received. Access to the net via the x-box, allowing for streaming services, access to additional gameplay levels, interaction with other players around the globe...

I was skeptical that this was really needed but can't be online without it. Shame that not only do you have to buy a $350+ system plus this.

I have used my credit card in the past when I needed to extend my Live membership. On a couple of occasions, I had unauthorized charges on my card. By using the prepaid card, I eliminated this issue.
