This is the same membership you can buy through plenty of other vendors, but you can get rewards points if you purchase through best buy.

Love prepaid cards for Xbox live. No need for CC# on Xbox account so I don't have to worry about my son "accidentally" purchasing things.

I got this partly because my daughter needs it to play with her friends on GTA IV and partly because you need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to access a Netflix or Hulu account. I'm not a fan of having to pay to access something I'm already paying to access. Just a complaint about this issue, but otherwise, the online gaming service seems like a good value.

Getting the XBOX live renewed by purchasing the membership card, keeps your credit card information out of your kids online account.

I always want to have Xbox Live Gold because I like to use my Xbox to play games with friends and to stream tv, movies, and music; but I'm not too keen on paying $25 for a 3 month membership. A full 12 months is the cheapest way to 'Go Gold'. Especially when you can get it on sale like I did. Keep your eyes peeled and you can get it up to $20 off retail!

These cards are convenient, simple, and effective, especially if you don't have a credit/debit card or just don't wanna use it over live. My only gripe is the pricing, wish Microsoft would make a 12 month subscription 50 dollars instead of 60. I suppose only in a perfect world ;)

Nothing better than going on XBox LIve, but I always keep my eye out for the best deals and Best Buy does seem to have them often

Buying an XBox Live card at Best Buy is more about convenience, not value. Value is specific due to the purpose of the product.

This makes a great buy for yourself or an xbox gamer you know. You just scratch the back of and redeem the code to get access to xbox live for 1 whole year and since it's prepaid, you won't need to enter any credit card information at all. Plus, you get at least 2 free games per month for having it, practically pays for itself.

I've always thought this subscription was a little overpriced, but at least it is not required for usage of additional paid services as it used to be (like netflix and hulu+). They do give gold members some pretty descend discounts on digital game downloads, but the catch is that digital downloads get tied to your microsoft account and cannot be transferred so if you ever want to sell the system, you can't effectively sell the games with it....a big downside in getting good return out of it. Fortunately for them, its almost not worth having an xbox without the subscription if you actually play games so a little unavoidable to purchase. I am checking "yes" on would you recommend to a friend, however if there was a "mehh" option, I'd use that in a heartbeat.

Whether you like it or not, whether you own a 360 or a One, you'll need this in order to really enjoy your gaming console and of course play with your friends on-line.

If you are a serious gamer, you must get the 12 month card in order to save money for your extra games! Good value for the price.

I highly recommend XBL Gold for anyone with an XB1. There are often alot of freebies that you can get, like free game downloads.

We buy this card every year for our son for Christmas. A whole year of fun, exciting entertainment through his xbox live account.
