If you buy your service 12 months at a time like I do it only averages out to $5 a month. You can't hardly beat that to play as much as you want, and don't forget you also get four free games a month that you can play anytime, as long as you are a gold member. A great value for Xbox gamers.

For xbox live that is around 2.17 cheaper a month. May not seem like much but with gold you get free games. Free does not always equal great but saving some money each month does. That is a little under 29.00 a year. In summary if you have xbox and want gold wait till it's on sale. Best buy I noticed usally does the sales around Christmas and start of summer.
