You literally need this if you want to play online. It's cheaper if you just buy the 12 month membership than the 1 month or 3 month unless you don't really game online that much.

Works great if you don’t play all the time. Couple times a year, doesn’t feel like you’re throwing money away on a year membership.

I get my son these each year for Christmas, it makes sense to get it for Christmas so he has them when needed.

Xbox live is essential for any quality gaming experience. I prefer to purchase the prepaid card because it has a a more affordable option.

$60.00 for a year isn't bad, but they need more first party games. Sony is still killing them in that department, but the backwards compatibility is helping.

I liked all the benefits of using the Xbox live feature but I didn't want to provide my credit card in their system. I'm glad this provided an alternative to that.

Kinda price if you don’t use all the features that come with Xbox live but worth it to play with friends and download new games and extras

The husband and all of our grown children play together on line. We don’t live close so it seems like old times when they were little. It’s a great time!

When the 12 month subscriptions are on sale at best buy I like to stock up on them. I bought two at $35 each and I never regret the decision. I also have been buying them for 13 years now and may be in the state of mind that I just can't let my subscription ever run out. You do receive free games every month and you can play if you so desire multiplayer games against your friends (these are the people that you never see but only hear in your head). I may be in the minority here but I prefer this over the PSN+ subscription if only because of the time that I got locked out of online gaming on PSN for a week when the network was hacked.

If your into gaming or having family that is, this is the only way to go. Discounts for buying the 12 month subscription. Standard pricing but good value.
