My son had a hard time getting this activated. It took him several tries, and the user name is not his own. Maybe the card was previously used?

I get this for my son every Christmas & birthday; he loves it! It’s something he can feel in charge with and he can choose his options so it’s a lot of fun & his smile tells me how much!

This is the best way toget xbox live and im glad that they ended up keeping the year subscription because they almost got rid of it

Best value for your buck. You can only get a year with gift cards, not through the marketplace.

My nephews were new to Xbox, so thsi Christmas I got them this subscription as a gift. Most they have made use of is the online play (vs the games available for streaming). But it's nice anyway to have the pretty wide catalogue available.

I prefer to buy these prepaid cards for Xbox live for two reasons. First because Best Buy often has them on sale or discounts them with other purchases such as system or game combos. Microsoft never discounts their Live service. Secondly I like to earn rewards points with my purchases as well. Eventually all those points adds up & means cash back for you. Easy enough to use. Depending on what type of card you buy & if you have the Kinect Sensor - redeeming is easy. Either enter the code on the back of the card or on your receipt or hold up the card so that the Kinect sensor can read it. Done Xbox Live renewed.
