I wish that they would make the price more reasonable. Since they do offer a somewhat decent discount if you buy a full 12 months, I give this 4-stars. But with as much as you pay for the system and the games, on top of having to pay extra for the Internet service to run the games with friends, I think that it priced too high. Hopefully Microsoft and other gaming companies will find a way to make a more affordable option for families, especially ones that aren't trying to play in huge online groups, but just friends.

Instead it gave me a month or so of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with no option to keep it as 3 months of Gold. I was okay with the conversion but anyone wanting to use this for 3 months of Live Gold should be aware.

If you are already a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, then redeeming a code for Xbox Live Gold will automatically convert its value to your Ultimate membership. This is because Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes the features of both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in one service. To redeem this code for just Xbox Live Gold, you'll first need to cancel your Ultimate membership.
