My boys bought this so they are able to play different games with their cousins who live out of state as well as play with friends here.

If you want to play multiplayer then you will need to buy a Xbox Live membership. When you buy a system you will likely get a discount to buy this and a system together where your starting cost to join live will not be that much. The 14 days of gold service given with the system will not give you games with gold, the rotating free games you can play if your gold subscription is active, that is one of the benefits that comes with Gold. Aside from multiplayer and games with gold there are discounts on games and downloadable content when it comes with Gold Xbox Live service.

My son received his own Xbox for his birthday. This is an easier way to maintain his Live account than placing a credit card on his account.

This is a great card with savings to play live and a popular product. Subscriptions add up but buying the 3 month or 6 month card saves a lot and time.

This is a good thing to buy if you are starting off Xbox Live. But if you play Xbox Live a lot get the 12 month membership. It will save you some money!

My kid likes it cause he can play on line with all those other kids with foul mouths. I like how much smarter the world has become, but could do without what it has become. It being the internet and everything that comes with it. I.e. social media. Other than that it’s great.

If you and your friends have xbox you must grab live so you can play with each other from the comfort of your own homes!

You can givea 3 months reward, when your daughter does good deeds. You can also give it to nephews as a birthday gift etc.

You have to watch for the deals in Best Buy. This was bought in the Thanksgiving sale for $4.99 when you bought 2 related games. You can't beat that!!

Xbox Live is definitely worth getting because not only does it allow you to play online with friends but you also get free games every month.
