If not I would have bought it somewhere else so this thing does what it's supposed to do give me 12 months of extra Xbox Live and I just bought it at a great price of $34.99

You basically get both live and game pass for the same price when u upgrade for $1. Basically your $1 game pass upgrade with live combines both subscriptions into one. So if you have xbox live for 3 years u get game pass for 3 years by upgrading using the $1 promo

You're right, investing in this Xbox Live Gold membership BEFORE you upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate allows you to score extra months (up to a maximum of 36 months) on your Ultimate subscription at a discount. However, we have to emphasize that this deal is only available to new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and won't work after you've upgraded your account. If you redeem a Xbox Live Gold code after upgrading to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it will automatically convert to Ultimate at a ratio based on the estimated retail price of the code. Need it if you want to play online

I will normally wait until these are for sale or if I have reward certificates. So if you wanna play online p2p then I suggest getting this. If your ok with not playing online p2p then I wouldn’t get it.
