    With this card, an Xbox Live Gold subscription only cost $5 a month. With Gold subscription providing 2 free games every month, you're virtually getting 2 free games for $5 a month. That alone is enough to purchase Xbox Live Gold.

    Since you must have this to play online it is a definite necessity. You might be able to find it cheaper online if you look around and during different times of the year or sales. Best Buy typically does not have it for lower than $60. But yeah it’s great for playing online.

    Really is needed in order play online and communicate with others. For example, in order to play online versus others using an EA Sports game (NBA Live, NHL Live, Madden, FIFA). Also a must have to play online games such as Fort Night. You also can download free content on a monthly basis.

    Xbox Live is a must for any new Xbox owner. It’s the only way to really get the full experience. However, there are 2 different ways to pay. If you can afford a bulk payment of $50, I would recommend you do that. $50 gets you the whole year, while $25 only gets you 3 months.
