There is the alternative of using your credit card and keeping in file with Microsoft, but my son would by other items on the Xbox store without permission. So this card is a great alternative to using a credit card.

You need it

Most new games are online multiplayer so you need Xbox Live Gold. Only thing I don't like is that its more expensive then PlayStation Plus. Buy the 12 month when its on sale for $40
