If you have the older controller without the standard headphone jack, this lets you be able to type in chat and any other text input box, but it also lets you use your standard headset. Good value-- though I wish Microsoft just had the standard audio port to begin with on the old controllers. This does affect the weight distribution and shape of the controller when I pick it up though.

So much better to have this than typing by using the buttons on the controllers!

My biggest pet peeve with entering passwords into consoles is that anyone who's watching can see what you're typing. This solves that. If for no other reason, it's worth it's weight in gold. I use this on my XB1 Elite controller and it's flawless.

Works well and gives easy to access chat controls. Mic is a nice added bonus.

This is well designed and integrates into the controller easily. Typing into text boxes is much easier now and the keys work well and are a good size for different sized fingers. The only complaint would be the additional controller weight is noticeable, but doesn't impact things that much. Overall, a great product.

If your thinking about getting a headset get this one. While you are paying for the keyboard it comes with a headset. Makes more sense to pay the $5 more and get the keyboard and it has the adapter if you ever want to get another headset later. Saves you money in the long run! I recommend this to all my friends.

This is definitely a must have when entering messages or typing. Save a ton of time rather than scrolling. However, it makes the controller feel slightly bulky. Good for Minecraft, not too hot in Overwatch.

Makes sending messages really easy. I use it on my play controller not my gaming controller. It does make the controller feel big.

Very good keyboard. Needs software update to work but after that it just works. Keyboard sits higher than 360 version so it's out of the way when you're not using it.

Keypad works great for entering claim codes and gives two customizable buttons that can be used to capture game play or more. Includes a headset as well. Was a great purchase.

A little trouble getting it in the controller and now and then but it works perfectly. Also comes with a headset which is a great value at $30! There’s two buttons you can change to anything you’d like. For example mine are to pull up a party chat and to record gameplay

I use the pad when having long discussions online, it's easy to use, user friendly and clicks in and out with a minimum of fuss. It is a little tough to use at first as the buttons are small but you get used to it fast

Sick of entering redemption codes on the virtual keyboard... Hate to do searches on the horizontal bar letter finder, get this now. Plus you can control your headphones for chat and even play games/TV in surround sound with the TV volume off, great for the late night "must finish this then I'll go to bed" gaming, or just watching TV while SWMBO sleeps
