Keypad for xbox one synced fast and needed to do an update. You just have to charge it afterwards or when it's ready to be charged. Easy to use.

I've wanted a chatpad for a while, but really didn't want to pay $30 - $40. Then I got a student coupon from best buy and I couldn't pass it up. It was always annoying to have to use the controller to type in codes or search Netflix or the web. This chatpad makes all of that easier. 1 minor draw back that I'm not taking any stars off for. I have a charging station for my controller and I have remove the chatpad for the controller to fit on the charging station. All in all, the benefits and overall usefulness outweigh any drawback.

Solid and easy to use. Has volume controls for headsets and 2 programmable buttons. Higher quality overall compared to third party chat pads imo.

This little keyboard is so easy to use that I can now watch YouTube videos almost as easily as using the computer. It's much larger than a Blackberry or typical smart phone keyboard and I rarely fat-finger an entry so it's very easy to do searches with or to register anything online. The only annoying thing is that there isn't a menu option button and playing any video using the Xbox controller you have to remember which button does what because they aren't clearly marked. Adding a one-stop Menu button would make that task a lot easier.

This let's you talk smack on the Xbox one, and allows you to assign functionality to different buttons. I use it to take screenshots and videos of me pwning noobs. 4 stars because I've noticed that sometimes the remote doesn't turn on my Xbox when I have this attached to my remote. It could be an issue with the XB1, but the remote ends up working when I take off the chatpad. I had also bought this because the headphones were not working from my remote, so I thought I could use this to connect my headphones into it so I could use the mic. Didn't solve my issue, but it is likely unrelated. Bottom line, great buy, and I recommend it.

Nice addition and fits wel with a regular controller. I have both the elite controller and a regular one. It will only fit the regular, but it's still amazing! It will fit the elite controller if you take off the extra buttons on the back.

Being a huge fan of the original 360 chatpad I couldn't wait for this to be released for my One. No let down here, it's just as good as the original. Lights up nice for low light situations. Can't go wrong with this one. Buy one now.

This chatpad fits perfectly on the standard Xbox One controller, and is a must own. Not only does it make life easier when navigating searches in apps like YouTube or Netflix, but it is very useful within games that require typing. For example, in something like Skyrim when making custom weapons, you can quickly rename your items. That might seem like a small thing, but it adds up. The illuminated keys are also a great feature.

It does what it says. One nice extra is the X1 and X2 buttons, which let you instantly take screenshots or 30 second videos in-game without needing to leave the game. It makes the controller a little bigger and heavier, obviously, but it's nicely designed and works well.

Super useful when you need to type something fast. Also work with YouTube . Head phone jack is a nice touch.

The chat pad is the best thing I bought for my Xbox when it comes to sending messages. No more using that slow on screen keyboard. Now I can type what I want to say quickly and get back to my gaming.

This is awesome I no longer have to scroll back and forth for the right letter and it helps control the volume to the headset

It works as advertised and does have a 3.5mm jack (acts the same as the stereo headset adapter), but it is not comfortable in my opinion. I do have large hands, though. The xbox 360 counterpart feels better but you can't use that on an x1 controller, obviously.

It's very nice for typing, for using YouTube and things like that. It's kinda bulky when just trying to play a game with it on the controller.

The pad was a little pricey considering what its used for but I really don't regret it at all it makes replying to messages a fast and easy. When searching on Bing or Edge it makes that entire process go so much faster. I like to explore the store for add-ons and games that are on sale, it makes it a breeze to look for DLC's, movies and other things through the online store. In very pleased that I made this purchase and recommend it to anyone considering it!

The chatpad is great. I don't understand why Microsoft didn't have this available day one of the Xbox One launch. This makes communicating in MMO's like Neverwinter A LOT easier. Aside from the fact that it just being a keyboard is already awesome, the best feature is that you can program two buttons on it for different functions like take a screenshot or record video. MUCH easier to tap a button while playing than to try double-tapping the xbox button and then pressing Y or X.

I really like the chat pad, though typing on it isn't quite as easy as I had expected. And it seems to bug out my controller every once in awhile. Still recommended if you don't have a keyboard though, or if you need to free up a USB port in your Xbox

I bought this pad for my son to use with his Xbox, it is relatively user friendly and much more convenient since it comes with a qwerty keyboard.

If you use the Xbox everyday as I do this is a must own. It works for ll the games that have in game chat such as Warframe and Neverwinter as well as all of the apps that have searching capabilities.
