After how awesome it was to have one of these for the Xbox 360, I knew I had to get one when the Xbox One version came out! It is extremely convenient -- especially when playing online games, and sending messages over Xbox Live -- and speeds up typing significantly without needing to access the Xbox app on your smartphone to type. In the middle of an intense battle, every second counts when you are out of the game sending a message!

Really wanted to add on the keyboard to the X1 and wanted to try this out. Keys are really well spaced and for the money it works.

Works as advertised, but sometimes it will seem to not allow the chat through the chatpad with headphones. You'll have to plug and unplug a few times to get it to work.

It's a bit bulky, but having the chat pad is very handy when sending messages etc.

For anyone who has had to type in a email address and password on an xbox knows how awesome it is to get this little chat pad and quickly and easily type away. Oh and a big plus is when you have family and friends in the room when you are trying to type in your password and you don't have to scroll over ever letter giving it away to anyone who is looking!!

When I saw this mini keyboard for XBox One controller I was really enthused. I'm starting to use my XBox for many more things then gaming, and I thought this would make it easier to get involved "socially" via various XBox apps. It did install on elite controller easily, that was it. Honestly, it has worked only once, does not seem to connect to be able to use. Too bad, I'll keep trying when I have patience.

Fits controller really well. Easy to put on and take off. Buttons have a good feel to them. Can't get @ symbol and some other character to type correctly when typing Microsoft password. It types characters that are on the keys next to them. Still haven't figured out why but maybe just a configuration or setting issue.

This is a wonderful accessory for the Xbox One controller, it's light and highly functional and fits the controller so ergonomically perfect!

I bought the Microsoft - Xbox One Chatpad as a gift, but I've heard no complaints about it. So I can only guess it was good.

Easy to use. Snaps right to the controller. Makes it a little harder, but does not feel bad.

I don't know why, but I find the chatpad the easiest way to send quick messages over LIVE. It's also much quicker for entering in codes or passwords for APP services (netflix, HBO, etc). I wouldn't say it is necessary, but it is quite nice to have. It works well and the buttons on it are very easy to use to type quickly.

I really like the ease of connection. The button placement is perfect. I wish they would have had the this when the Xbox first came out.

It's exactly what you think; a pad that connects to the controller and allows you to type like a keyboard. One downfall is that it sometimes interferes with button defaults.

Good product, makes the controller seem really big but much easier for communicating.

Seems a little more bulky, and the buttons would be better of smaller and spreaded. It does work fine though. Also nice to have chat headset volume right on the controller.

Great addition to any Xbox gamers arsenal. Make messaging and entering codes a breeze. Fast and responsive, but not bulky or cumbersome Added plus with this is you don't need to use the stereo headset adapter with this as it is built into it. You can use whatever headset you want and still maintain separate controls of voice and game sounds

I got tired of using the arrow keys to find movies on Netflix or trying to surf the web. This little unit is perfect for speeding up the typing process for any application on Xbox or the internet. If you spend a lot of time surfing or using apps on your TV, game console or blu ray player buy this chatpad. It is really good.......

I bought this so that I could watch movies online and search for movies easier. Typing in passwords and usernames is a breeze now.

Make the controller look so nice lightsup and easy to use

My daughter is a big gamer so I purchased this for a Christmas gift... She loves it! She doesn't know how she ever went without it.
