Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Xbox One Kinect Sensor's voice control and ease of use, frequently praising its improved accuracy and fun factor. However, some users experienced issues with compatibility and game support, particularly needing an adapter for newer Xbox consoles. The sensor's size was also a point of contention for some customers.

    Great for Media Center

I really only use my Xbox and Kinect for running my media center. With a simple "Hey Cortana, Xbox on." It powers up my TV, Speaker bar, cable box, xbox and anything else I need to just set on my butt and watch TV.

I'll be honest...I was skeptical from day one about the voice functionality Microsoft had talked about with this new incarnation of the Kinect. While clunky at times, the voice navigation can be handy but it isn't a necessity.

All of my friends has one, so bought one. My little daughter uses it a lot more then any of us. For us major convenience is to not log on manually to X-box. It recognizes each family member and then logs them on....smooth

We bought the kinect for the Xbox one and it works a lot better than the kinect for the Xbox 360, it reads the room better, it reads people better and it also takes commands better. Definitely an upgrade from the 360.

Previous 360 Kinect owner and had around a dozen paid titles, I can’t find 4 games I’d buy with ONE Kinect. Also trying to get my two. 3 yr olds to play and the only suitable game is fruit ninja. Sports games are incredibly difficult to work for this age and trust me there is no lack of will or energy. They need some maze games or jump over obstacle type stuff like they used to. Easy money....lost. I’m about to return it as the yield is no longer there with the lineup.

I love the Kinect and Xbox. I connected the tv box into Xbox and Xbox into my receiver. Now I turn everything on and off with a verbal command. Also, Kinect's camera works great for skyping with my friends.

We bought this product after our original Kinect died this last year. We love the voice activation. Our whole family (7 kids) love to use it for dance parties in the winter when it is too cold to be outside for long.

this product is amazing. Some people have complain about the sensitivity to motion but honestly place the product right and calibrate it correctly...not perfectly but correctly and it will work with no problem.

If you want your xbox one to be the center of your entertainment center, then you need this. Since I have my cable going through the xbox, the sensor is necessary so that I dont have to turn my controller on everytime I want to turn on the xbox. It allows me to use voice command, even though the sound and voice callabration doesnt always work as well as it could. Overall, makes chatting during gameplay easier (no headset required) and voice commands possible so worth the purchase.

The kinect has been more responsive then many reviews I have read. I have found it to add a new dimension to many games that I enjoy playing such as madden and tom raider. Anything under $100 is worth the buy.

Adds a new level of entertainment watching the kids interact with video games. This is fantastic if you have games equipped for interactive controls.

Because I am lazy, I got this to yell commands at it when I don't want to get up and get the remote. When I say yell, I mean yell. It does not understand you unless you are screaming at it 3/4 of the time.

I was a little creeped out by the invasiveness of the device, but I am getting used to it. It is great to have as you expand the capability of your system. If you have the system, why not get all options!

    XBOX One Kinnect vs 360

This is far superior than the 360. It comes wth its own set of challenges, but not nearly like the 360 where yelling screaming, cussing, muttering etc didn't work. It still "listens" when unintended at times.

Around 1 year back, I bought an xbox one, and recently I bought Kinect. I regret not getting this earlier. It makes gaming much more fun. And using Skype on this is the best thing in the world.

Extreme Xbox fan. Took me awhile to get the kinect for my one but I'm glad I did. The sensors are so much more precise than on the 360 and the auto adjustment for a smaller room. Awesome.
