Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Xbox One Kinect Sensor's voice control and ease of use, frequently praising its improved accuracy and fun factor. However, some users experienced issues with compatibility and game support, particularly needing an adapter for newer Xbox consoles. The sensor's size was also a point of contention for some customers.

Great product to help get more involved with Xbox

I use this product for random games, and commands for apps/XBox. The only thing I can say is that it is difficult for the kinect to understand certain commands, and at times it doesn't immediately turn on when said the first time.

Bought XBox One S and as usually had to pay for every piece and bit Kinnect and then adapter and there wasn't a big hardware upgrade in XBOX One S they could have used the same port. And adapter is expensive too.

We purchased Xbox with Kinect a few years ago. Recently the Kinect stopped working. I finally gave in & bought a new one. It was an easy plug in & start playing. Probably the easiest installation I've ever had to do.

I thought I would be able to get games like the wii has but was disappointed to find there really is no use for this Kinect system.

Useful peripheral for Xbox One. Voice commands and Skype works well on Xbox One, played a few Kinect games with it and it was fun. Too bad about the lack of support now, but device is still worth it for what it can do.

Great addition to our already fun Xbox. Both my kids and I have hours of fun playing games on the Xbox One and it just got better with the addition of the Kinect. Games are fun for all ages with this product.

It's fun and great to use. camera is quite responsive as well. Really makes the xbox one a fun device. BUT, if you have the xbox one "s" you need to buy an adapter (that costs $40) in order for it to work.

Being able to use voice commands is nice. Your XBox recognizing you and signing you in automatically is convenient. Haven't played very many games with it though.

Haven't had enough time to really dedicate just yet but it works most of the time for general verbal selection and navigation. I'm looking forward to more thorough functionality with the upcoming UWP integration.

I love this item, because I like being able to sit on the couch and say "Cortana please turn on my TV" or "Cortana please rewind" I believe this is an absolute if you're going to own the Xbox one.

The Xbox one Kinect is far more sensitive than the older 360 Kinect. The technology is amazing. Play, chat, command your Xbox to navigate to different places. This is a worthwhile addition to your system.

We had the original Kinect and liked it, but this new one tracks movement much better. It is disappointing that the exercise program available expired this month, with no program to replace it. :(

Unless you have kids that like motion games, you host parties with your Xbox or you prefer to use a gaming system to excecise there is no other use for the Kinect except to voice control your Xbox/TV. I got mine on sale and still wish I paid less. It's more of a novelty item that wears off after a week or so. I wouldn't spend more than $50 on a Kinect, but still love my xbox one. I see why corporate quickly made the decision to sell seperate from the original higher cost bundle.

The kids love it. We bought it for just dance. Just be sure to set it at a level to cover all the heights of people in your play area and/or you have room enough to get everyone in camera.

Forget about any worthwhile gaming use for kinect, but it is absolutely essential for navigation of the home screen, powering on and off, switching apps and for proper integration with tv and single remote ease.

I got a Kinect knowing its limitations but it still has plenty of value and i havent been disappointed. If you know what your are getting, its a fine addition to your Xbox console.

Even before Alexa/Echo, this thing could have been the game changer. Cortana killed the instant-ness of it with the latest update. But you can still use the legacy "Xbox" commands

Cool gadget. One caution - make sure to be an adequate length away from the Kinect for it pick you up on the screen when playing a game - being too close can prevent accurate movements.
