Need it to work with cable provider and some games. So XBox One isn't really fully functional until you have it.

got this for a great price when it went on sale, and just in time for a birthday!

this is a great addition to my xbox one it is so fun and easy to use.

I liked the kinect, BUT I didn't realize how important it was until I purchased my second Xbox One without a kinect. It was like a different system. I quickly picked up a second kinect off eBay (this was before they were available in stores). There were so many things that I couldn't do or it they just took more time to do. THEY are patching in functions every month that you just couldn't do without a kinect before. I enjoy both my kinects! It is very useful for snapping apps/ multitasking, tv functions, and sports video games!

The Kinect sensor is a great accessory but is not essential for everyone. I enjoy its use but many may never use it. I think Microsoft did the right thing by making the Kinect optional.

Got this to go along with the XBox we got last year. We only used it with the Just Dance 2016 game. It's works great. It follows commands as well, such as, "Xbox Off" which is great when you have a kid that won't get off the Xbox.

Extremely easy to use. Adults and kids love it. Can talk to KINECT, tell it to turn off or play a game or back to TV. It's amazing.

In my opinion, XBOX One games are mostly geared towards men and boys. The Kinect opens up options for the whole family. We love playing Kinect Sports and Dance Central as a family. Plus, it gets everyone up and moving.

I have been looking to buy this product since I bought my Xbox One at Best Buy a month ago. The only thing that kept me from buying the Kinect from Best Buy is that anywhere else selling it includes a download code for Dance Central 2015. Not only does Best Buy not say whether their product includes this, their help desk can't figure it out either. So, yes, I would recommend this product, but I'm not sure I am getting everything I should when I buy it from Best Buy at the same price as other retailers.

I just say: xbox on" and it turns on the xbox, tv, receiver and cable box. Many other voice commands available. Great for skyping while playing a game. A must have for me

This is a Definite MUST HAVE when you buy the Xbox ONE system! It works so many features that you need to work, unlike the Xbox 360 did. You won't be sorry!

I just purchased my Xbox a few week ago and had to get the Kinect for the functions it adds to the console. I love the tv control functions the most.

This thing is pretty cool and allows for some straight up futuristic voice commands, but I've yet to play a game which actually utilizes it. If you're already blowing a few hundred bucks on the console, why not get this thing too, but it's not going to change your life or revolutionize gaming (yet, at least).

Bought the Kinect bar for my grandson for Xmas to go with his Xbox One. It enhances the gaming experience.

This is a good add-on to the xbox one. Even though it acts up sometimes, but overall its pretty good addition.

This is a great item to complete your whole Xbox one system. You will use it more than you think.

I have an Xbox 360 with Kinnect so purchased this when I upgraded to the Xbox One - It's convenient to use for Skyping and using the audio for multi-player on-line games when I can't get my headphones to work or just don't feel like wearing them.

Works great and I love that we can control the TV with it as well.

My grandson set this up for me. He even showed me how to use it.
