Small, compact with all basic functions at hand. Can be programmed for your TV, receiver and set top. Button layout is my only concern, but it could just be me. The back button is right above the VOL+ and yeah, my fat fingers end up exiting out when I'm trying to turn up the sound. The mute button in the center has almost no relief and I miss hitting sometimes. I have noticed even though I'm less than 10 feet away, I'll tap a VOL button and nothing happens. Then, after a few seconds with my finger off the buttons, the volume on the receiver rapidly changes numbers as if there was a lag in commands. Not sure if it the remote or the receiver. Makes for some interesting sound moments though. It would also be nice to have colored button equivalents (may be in the manual, but I rarely read manuals) since apps like Netflix display buttons on the controller for functions. Overall, it's useful, smaller than my Harmony remote but still get the job done.

The remote feels pretty cool. Also it works great when watching movies, instead of having to use the regular remote.

This is very useful for using the Xbox as a media center. It actually turns the Xbox on faster than the controller, but cannot be used in a game. The backlight is nice, but the sensitivity of what triggers it can be temperamental at times, sometimes lighting up from the sound of a movie, and other times not lighting up when it is picked up.

If you don't have a Kinect, combine this with IR cables and makes your Xbox much more usable as a media device

Bought this cuase i was tired of havibg to turn on my Xbox controller and i have to say it was a great choice.

Makes viewing DVDs so much easier for my wife and I. A must if you view movies on a regular basis

I bought this remote because I hated having to turn on my controllers overtime I wanted to interact with Netflix. Remote works great and has great battery life. Only issue is it does take awhile to turn on and it needs direct line of sight to the xbox, so if I am laying down and the coffee table is in the way it will not register my click.

The remote does exactly what a remote should do. It is much more convenient than connecting the Xbox controller.

Easy to use. If you use your xbox one for viewing tv, or watching a dvd, or Blu-ray this is the remote for you.

I purchased the remote because besides playing games I watch a lot of Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll and various other online video services. My favorite thing about the remote is that it lights up just by picking it up which is great when you're watching a lot of things in the dark. You no longer have to search for the illuminate button on the remote. My least favorite thing is that the remote doesn't always work well in every app. It'll work fine on your home screen and then when I get in an app I can't select with the d-pad. That's a major flaw particularly when It seems to work perfectly in one app then barely at all in another. I hate using my controller because it powers down by itself and I don't like to power it up just to pause what I'm watching or select another movie. I'm tempted to try other third party remotes if not from the warning on Microsoft's website that the controller doesn't work with all apps. good grief.

I tried the off brand controller before this purchase. It works the best and controlls all content except games

we bought this because we use the xbox one a lot. makes it easier than pulling out the controllers each time.

Using Xbox one for Hulu. Much better than having a controller sitting around all day. Great product for the money.

The Xbox One Media remote has a very sleek and compact design. One nice feature is that the remote buttons light up when you handle it, which is great in a dark room. The remote was extremely simple to sync out of the box and there was no need to program it for my TV due to the settimgs already being stored in the Xbox One. This leads to my only real complaint. I am disappointed that I cannot control the volume on my TV with the remote unless the Xbox One is active. Other then this, it was a great purchase.

Love that it automatically synced with both my xbox 1s! Whether upstairs or down. No configuring needed.

Love this thing. So much easier to use over the controller when watching netflix on the xbox (don't have to turn it off to save battery). It also has backlit buttons that light up when the controller moves, so it's easy to see what buttons are where. Only issue if you have to point it almost directly at the xbox for it to work

The remote is helpful when watching a movie or somethings like Netflix. It's small and smooth and easy to use. Not awkward like the gaming controller. When you touch it, it automatically lights up which is helpful if it's dark. I'd recommend it if you use the Xbox for non-gaming activities.

Honestly, I bought this out of laziness so I didn't need to keep my Xbox controller in bed since that's kind of large. This remote is small, soft to the touch, allows you to control most things on your Xbox one, and lights up when you lift the remote (it's a neat feature). I'd recommend it especially since it's affordable.

Great tool for use with OneGuide/TV, Netflix, Plex, etc. I enjoy that it lights up as soon as you move it.

The regular game controller is acceptable. If however you watch a lot on the XBox, this remote makes controlling it so much easier.
