I Love the Media Controller. More than I thought I would. It makes it much easier. You can even control the volume on your tv, and Every single app. when the controller is simply touched it lights up in case using it in the dark. It's small and it's handy to have.

This makes viewing media easier than using the controller or voice recognition.

Had one of these and loved it. Then my dog decided he was going to chew stuff up and this was on his list. So we had gotten an insignia one with a keyboard on the backside of it. Hated that and got this one again. Love the feel and use ability of it.

After using this for a few weeks, I'm glad we decided to purchase it. I read some complaints about how annoying it was that you had to point it directly at the console to get it to work. Really? It's a remote. That's how they generally work. I like not having to worry about turning the controller back on again while watching Netflix. That's pretty much what we use it for. It does the job.

Great addition to a great console. It's better than using the console controller.

The IR is way too small on this remote. It can hit the xbox pretty well (probably due to a bigger IR sensor on the xbox). However, if your TV has a smaller sensor this remote won't do the trick from 6 feet unless you wave it around...I wouldn't recommend. I had a PS3 Bluetooth remote and that is still working wonderfully. I wonder why Microsoft didn't do this?

Easy to sync, easy to use especially when you watch a lot of Netflix like I do.

I bought the Xbox One media remote because we watch a ton of stuff using the Amazon Video and YouTube apps and I hated having to use the standard controller for things like pause, stop, skip, forward, etc. The media remote works well for that purpose. The fact that it lets me navigate the the Xbox One's onscreen menus and control my cable box is just icing on the cake. The build quality is outstanding, the back-light activates as soon as I pick up the remote, and the entire thing is covered in a soft, rubber-like coating that makes holding on to the remote a breeze. The only downside is that it isn't universal and can't do things like powering my television on and off without adding an IR extender cable or a Kinect. However, for $25 I can't complain too much. In the end I got a solid, well-built remote that makes using my Xbox One more enjoyable.

This handy little remote makes navigating your Xbox One so much easier. No longer do you need to keep your controller on, while watching videos, listening to music, etc... Remote is backlit, and automatically illuminates as soon as you touch it. Great feature!

I was really disappointed that there wasn't a media remote available when the Xbox One was released and that it took so long for it to finally be released, but the wait was almost worth it and the result is an absolute must have for any Xbox One owner. We have a fairly simple setup with the TV, Xbox One, and an Xbox 360 connected to the HDMI input on the Xbox One. Because of the HDMI control passthrough to the TV we're able to use this single remote to control both the TV and and Xbox One and thus only need one remote for everything but games. The remote itself is light and a good size so that it's not so small as to be easy to loose in the couch, but not so large as to be difficult for younger kids to use easily. The back side is really grippy and feels great in the hand and the backlit buttons are nicely layed out and easy to use without looking at the unit once you get used to the locations.

This remote is very useful if you stream video like netflix as you no longer have to keep turning on and off your controller. The remote is backlit and will turn on when movement is detected. Also the remote is able to control the volume of your tv and function just like an xbox controller..
