Love the remote. Love the lighting as well. Feels great on hand.

I have a kinect but get tired of shouting volume commands that aren't recognized. That made me start using the smart glass app, which when it works properly is great. When it doesn't you can't control anything. This remote worked 100% out of the box. No setup or configuration was needed. Almost as valuable as the rechargeable batteries for the controllers.

This is an essential extra to the xbox one. Definitely recommend.

Not too bad. It lights up when you move it so you can see the buttons in the dark.

The built-in movement sensor that lights up the remote's buttons is pure genius. Battery life, weight, and texture are all great. I only have two qualms with this remote. First is the lack of A/B/X/Y labeling on the corresponding buttons (or a row of dedicated buttons at bottom of remote) for easier use of certain apps. Second is the generally cheap and mushy feel of the buttons when pressed.

I was excited about having a control peripheral that I could use that did not require me to constantly keep my controllers active and/or take time to turn them back on when i needed to pause the action. In that basic capacity, this remote does its job well. However, it is far less forgiving in terms of distance and line of sight in that you MUST be no more than six or seven feet to reliably control things and you MUST not have even partial obstruction. It has to have a clear line to the XBOX One or it simply does not work. I have had other issues it not always being able to register clicks and using for keyboard strokes is incredibly frustrating, but those are infrequent issues, so not a constant negative. I'd like to say that the convenience and the saving on my controller battery outweighs the negatives, but I don't feel that they do. At best, this was a 50/50 purchase.

Having cut the cord, I am utilizing the OTA tuner with external antenna to bring in all my local channels. Once you configure the OTA tuner with the OneGuide, you can use the media remote to easily change channels and see what's coming up for your viewing pleasure. The only thing I wish is that it had a number keypad, but there are not that many OTA channels so it's just a very minor complaint.

Got this to control my x box , great control very easy to use.

I got this remote cause i was tired of having to switch between 3 remotes to control what was on my tv ( 1 for volume and power, 1 for set top box, and one for xbox one) this remote helped now it doesnt have all the functions but it has the essentials. can adjust volume on the tv ( which mine seems to have some issues with) changes channels on my set top box and i can control basic xbox navigation.

This is a must have if you plan to use your xbox to play movies.

If you need a simple remote for Netflix and dvds, this one is great

Better than using the game controllers, when watching movies!
